The McLaren Artura 2025 doesn't try to out-shout the V8 and V10 exotics parked next to it on this fleet. It out-thinks them. A 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 pairs with an electric motor for a combined 690 hp, and the electric side fills the gap a bigger naturally aspirated engine leaves low in the rev range. This is the Spider, with a folding hard-top instead of a fixed roof, and it drives with a rhythm no twin-turbo or naturally aspirated McLaren on the fleet quite matches. We deliver it in blue to your door across Dubai, usually within one to two hours of booking. The question this page settles is whether that different character suits how you'd actually use it for a few days here.
Most supercars pick a lane: big naturally aspirated engine with a long, building howl, or a smaller turbo motor with a flat wall of torque and a wait for boost. The Artura splits the difference. The 3.0-litre V6 alone would already be quick, but the electric motor sits ahead of it in the power delivery, filling the low-rev gap before the turbos have spun up. Combined output is 690 hp and 720 Nm through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheels, good for roughly 3 seconds to 100 km/h and a limited top speed of 330 km/h. What that translates to on the road is a car that never feels like it's waiting for anything, unlike an older twin-turbo McLaren that could go soft for half a second before the boost arrived.
There's a genuinely different mode here too. The 7.4 kWh battery gives around 30 km of electric-only driving on the WLTP cycle, enough to ease out of a hotel driveway or a basement car park in near silence before the V6 wakes up. Once it does, the note is tighter and more metallic than the V8s and V10s around it, less opera, more precision. Rear-wheel drive and this much torque mean a heavy foot on a wet ramp or a painted lane line deserves respect, and a car this low has no business anywhere near a sand track.

There's no back row, so the head count decides itself before anything else does: it's you and one other person. Bags go in the front boot, about 160 litres, which covers two soft holdalls or a couple of backpacks and stops well short of a hard suitcase off a long-haul flight. If you're landing with real luggage, this isn't the car for the airport leg, and that's not a complaint about the car, it's what a mid-engined two-seater always asks of you.
The roof is the reason this particular car is a Spider rather than a coupe. It's a folding hard-top that stows itself in around eleven seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h, so you can drop it at a red light before it turns green again, and it adds only a little weight over the fixed-roof version. Stowed, it eats into the space just behind the seats, so pack lighter still if you're planning to drive with it down most of the week.
McLaren doesn't publish a ground clearance figure for the Artura, and the nose sits low enough that you notice it. Steep mall ramps, tight basement entries and the sharper speed bumps on the Marina roads will catch a front splitter if you take them square rather than at an angle. Go slow on ramps and treat every unfamiliar bump as one that might scrape.
McLaren's 4.6 L/100 km combined figure is a full-battery lab number on the WLTP cycle, not what the car actually drinks once the charge is spent and the V6 is doing the work through a week of Sheikh Zayed Road runs and mall parking. Budget for a genuine supercar's thirst once the electric range is gone, and fill the 65-litre tank with premium fuel. A home-style charger takes the 7.4 kWh battery from empty to full in around two and a half to three hours, workable overnight, though most renters will treat the electric mode as a nice extra rather than something to manage daily.
The rental includes 250 km a day, with anything past that billed at AED 0.5 per kilometre, which covers city driving and an airport run comfortably without watching the odometer. The cabin is small and sits close around two seats with a lot of glass overhead, so a few hours parked at 45 degrees in summer leaves it properly hot by the time you climb back in. Once moving, the air conditioning has very little space to cool and pulls the temperature down fast, and there's no rear row to worry about venting. With the roof down, keep it to early mornings and evenings outside the peak summer months, since open-top driving at noon in July is uncomfortable rather than fun. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during the rental pass to you, and seat belts are mandatory in both seats. Being a McLaren, it goes out against a refundable deposit confirmed at booking rather than a no-deposit deal.
Rent the McLaren Artura 2025 if there are two of you, you're travelling light, and part of the draw is a supercar that can leave a hotel forecourt on electric power before it shows what the V6 can do. That contrast, quiet exit and sharp turbo-and-electric pull once you're clear, is not something a naturally aspirated or plain twin-turbo exotic on this fleet offers, and dropping the roof on a cooler morning turns even a short drive into something worth doing again. You'll need to be at least 25 to take the keys.
Look elsewhere if you need to carry a third passenger or real luggage for the trip. A Urus or a Bentayga gets you close to the same drama with room for both. If what you actually want is a bigger, older-school V8 or V10 howl rather than hybrid cleverness, a Huracan or an older McLaren gives you more of that theatre for similar money. Book the Artura for how differently it drives, because that's the whole reason to choose it over the rest of the fleet.
