Payment stays flexible and you settle on delivery, which is the part most desks won't tell you up front when you're chasing a supercar for one weekend. We hand over the McLaren 750S 2024 across Dubai, brought to your door inside a couple of hours. This is the lightweight driver's car in the rivals' fight, a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 740 bhp behind your shoulders and a chassis sharp enough to feel every input you give it. It rewards someone who can actually drive. The page below tells you who that is, where the car shines in this city, and where it frankly gets in your way.
Strip away the badge talk and this is a rear-drive supercar built around being light. McLaren took the 720S, sharpened the chassis, dropped weight, and added power. The result hits 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and carries on to 332 km/h, and unlike a heavy hybrid hypercar it does it with a directness that feels honest. The steering is hydraulic and talkative. The brakes bite hard. The V8 doesn't sing like a Ferrari, but it shoves, and the 7-speed dual-clutch swaps gears faster than you can think about them.
You sit low, wide, and central in a strict two-seat cabin. There's no back row, no pretending otherwise. The 750S is sold as a coupe and a Spider, and we're handing over the coupe here.

The thing nobody mentions until they've scraped one: the 750S is very low and very wide. Speed bumps in residential areas, mall ramp transitions, and the lip on some parking entries will catch the nose if you take them straight on. Use the hydraulic nose lift before every bump and ramp, approach at an angle, and crawl. That habit saves the front splitter, and on a car this low it's not optional.
Parking is a job in itself. The car is wide enough that tight multi-storey bays get awkward, and the butterfly doors swing up rather than out, so you need clearance above as much as beside. Pick end bays or open-air spots when you can.
Where it comes alive is an empty stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road or the E11 at first light, before the traffic builds. That's the drive to plan: an early-morning blast when the road is clear and cool, the V8 awake, the gearbox snapping through ratios. In stop-and-go midday traffic the 750S is a frustrated animal, low and hot and overqualified.
A supercar cabin in July is a real test, and the 750S handles it about as you'd expect for the breed. The glasshouse is large, the cabin is small, and parked in the sun at 45°C it gets brutally hot before the air conditioning catches up. Give it a few minutes with the fans high before you expect comfort. Once it's cooled, the small cabin holds temperature well because there's so little volume to manage. Park in shade or underground whenever you have the option, because black trim and a low roof bake fast in this climate.
Boot space is barely a weekend bag in the nose, and that's the whole story. There's a shallow front compartment good for a soft holdall and not much else. Two people travelling light works. Two with proper suitcases don't, so plan the trip around the car.
Fuel-wise, treat the 740 bhp V8 honestly. The official figure is 12.2 l/100km on the combined cycle, and you will not see that. Driven the way a 750S asks to be driven, the 72-litre tank empties quickly, and you'll be visiting the pump often across a hard weekend. Range isn't the point of this car, so don't rent it expecting one.
A few practical things. Salik tolls run on your account while the car's with you, and any RTA fines from the road pass to you as the renter, so keep an eye on your speed. This car gathers pace deceptively fast and the limits still apply. Seatbelts are mandatory, full stop. A supercar like this usually carries a stricter security check and a young-driver policy may apply, so confirm the details at booking rather than assuming.
Rent the 750S if you can drive and you want the driving to be the event: a track day, a milestone weekend, or that early blast down a clear highway where a sharp, light, brutally fast car is the whole point. It rewards skill and gives almost nothing back to a passenger looking for comfort or space.
If you want to cover distance in quiet luxury, a grand tourer is the smarter rent, and you'll arrive fresher. If you need room for people or luggage and want to use the car all week without fighting bumps and bays, a luxury SUV makes far more sense. The 750S is a specialist. Rent it for what it does, accept what it can't, and it's one of the most satisfying cars we hand over in this city.
