Renting a 2025 Mazda CX-3 in Dubai gets you a small crossover that feels noticeably more expensive than it costs to hire, and we'll deliver it to wherever you are with no deposit tying up your card. The appeal here isn't size or practicality, it's the way the thing is built. The cabin is quiet and properly finished, the steering has genuine weight, and on the road it carries itself like a car from a class above. So this page is about one decision: is the CX-3 worth picking for how it looks and drives, when there are roomier rentals for the same money? If you're one or two people, our answer is yes. If you need to move a family and their bags, look elsewhere.
Sit in the front and the CX-3 makes its case immediately. The dashboard is clean, the seats support you properly, and the materials around the doors and centre console feel grown-up rather than rented. This is a Mazda that punches above its rental price, and for a couple or a solo driver spending a week in it, that quality is what you're paying for.
The 2.0-litre engine makes 150 hp through a six-speed automatic, sending power to all four wheels. It isn't quick, with 0 to 100 km/h around 9.7 seconds, but it's keen and smooth, and the all-wheel drive means it lays the power down cleanly rather than spinning a front tyre out of a junction. On Sheikh Zayed Road it settles to 120 calmly with enough in hand to overtake.

Start here before you book, because the boot is the CX-3's real limit. There are 350 litres behind the rear seats, which works out to one large suitcase and a soft bag, not a pair of big hard cases. Two people landing at DXB with a check-in case each can manage, though you might rest one bag on the back seat for the drive home. Drop the 60/40 rear bench and you free up around 1,260 litres, which handles a furniture run or a single large shop.
The rear seat is best treated as occasional. Two adults fit for a short trip, legroom behind a tall driver is tight, and three across gets uncomfortable quickly. A week of two people with the odd extra passenger is the sweet spot. A daily family of four is not.
Where the CX-3 earns back what it lacks in space is the way it moves. It turns in crisply, stays composed through a corner, and feels planted instead of jittery, which is rare in a small crossover. For city runs and a tarmac trip out toward Hatta it's a genuine pleasure to drive.
Parking is the other quiet win. At 4275 mm long it drops into tight bays, threads the Marina ramps, and swings a U-turn without drama. The 155 mm of clearance is enough for speed bumps and mall ramps, but this is a road car, so keep it off soft sand. The all-wheel drive helps on a wet morning or loose grit, not in the dunes.
Cabin cooling decides the summer. The CX-3's small interior is an advantage here, since the air conditioning pulls a parked car down from the high 40s faster than any large SUV. Vent the worst of the heat through open doors for a few seconds, then let the front vents do their job, and you're comfortable within a couple of minutes. There are no dedicated rear vents, but the cold air reaches the back in a cabin this size.
On fuel, the 44-litre tank and roughly 7.0 L/100km combined give you most of a week of mixed driving on a fill, a little more often if you're piling on highway miles or sitting in traffic with the AC maxed. Two practical notes before you set off: Salik tolls run on your account while the car's with you, and any RTA fines pass to you as the renter.
Rent the 2025 Mazda CX-3 if you're one or two people who want a small car that feels properly made and drives better than its price suggests, with the bonus of all-wheel grip for the odd slippery day. It looks great, the cabin is a cut above, and it parks anywhere in the city. Just be honest with yourself about the back seat and the boot before you commit. If you're carrying four adults or flying in with a load of luggage, this is the wrong size, and a CX-5 or a bigger crossover will suit you far better. For couples and solo drivers, it's one of the more satisfying small rentals we hand out.
