The engine is the point

On an open stretch of the E11 it overtakes the moment you think about it, and the sound turns a five-minute highway hop into the whole evening. Rear-wheel drive makes it livelier than the all-wheel-drive Huracans when you're greedy with the throttle, so give painted lines and damp ramps a bit of respect. Keep it on tarmac and nowhere near sand. This is a low road car, and loose ground is where one gets stuck and scraped.

One passenger, one soft bag, and low ground

Work out the practical side before you book, because it decides more than the colour does. Two seats, no rear row, so it's you and one other person and that's the end of it. The only storage is the compartment under the nose, roughly 100 litres, big enough for a soft holdall or two backpacks and nothing with a hard shell. A single wheeled suitcase will not drop in. Who this car is right for

Book the Huracan if you want the real supercar experience for a day or a weekend, there are one or two of you, and you're travelling light. Nothing near this money makes a better sound or pulls a bigger crowd outside a restaurant, and a naturally aspirated V10 is worth driving while they still make them.
