Book the Lamborghini Huracan 2020 in Dubai and you're driving the oldest year we keep on the fleet, the car that opened this generation before Lamborghini pushed the later versions toward more power and more driver aids. We deliver it to your hotel, villa or the airport inside one to two hours, keys in hand for a track day out at the Dubai Autodrome or a quiet Friday morning loop before the city wakes up. Underneath it's the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 that makes every Huracan worth booking, tuned a touch lighter and less filtered than the newer cars in our fleet. That's the whole case for renting this year over a newer one, and the reason to think twice if the biggest possible number is what you're chasing.
Open the door on this one and you get the same engine every Huracan has carried since 2015: a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 with no turbos anywhere near it. In this earlier rear-wheel-drive tune it makes 602 hp, sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheels only, and it gets to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds on the way to a genuine 325 km/h. Compare that with the 640 hp cars Lamborghini built from 2021 onward and you're down 38 hp and around three tenths to 100. On a public road in Dubai you will not feel the gap. Sheikh Zayed Road still disappears under it the moment you ask, and the engine still climbs to its 8,000 rpm redline with the same rising snarl that made the newer cars famous.
What you do notice is the character. There's no all-wheel-drive safety net here, only a naturally aspirated V10 sending everything through the back tyres, which is exactly what makes a track day at the Dubai Autodrome worth booking on this car rather than a newer one. On the road it means a bit more respect for wet ramps and painted lines than the all-wheel-drive cars need, and no business off tarmac at all, so keep it away from sand and loose gravel shoulders.
Work out the practical side before the colour, because it decides the trip more than anything else. Two seats, no rear bench, so it's you and one other person and that's final. The only place to put a bag is the compartment under the nose, about 100 litres, enough for a soft holdall or a weekend duffel and not much more. A hard-shell suitcase will not go in, so if you're landing at DXB or DWC with real luggage, this isn't the car for that leg of the trip.
Ground clearance sits around 115 mm, fine on Sheikh Zayed Road but tight anywhere a ramp or a speed bump meets you square. Steep entries into basement parking and the taller bumps around the Marina will catch the front lip if you don't slow down and take them at an angle. Most of these cars carry a front axle lift for exactly this, so ask us whether the one we hand over has it fitted. Around town the car is shorter than the shape suggests, so tight multi-storey bays are manageable if you go slowly and mind the width.

| Colour | Grey |
This car wears grey, which is the easier colour to live with here. It doesn't show dust and road film the way a dark colour does, and it doesn't soak up the sun quite as hard as black paint would in an open car park. That said, a low glass roof over two seats still turns into an oven within a few minutes at 45 degrees, and grey paint won't save you from that. Expect the first minute after you climb back in during a midday stop to be genuinely uncomfortable.
Once you're moving, the air conditioning has an easy job. There isn't much cabin to cool and no rear seats to vent, so the temperature drops fast once the car is rolling and the vents are pointed at you. If you're leaving it parked outside for a few hours in summer, a sun shade across that windscreen is worth carrying, and a shaded or covered bay beats an open lot every time.
Book the 2020 Huracan if the naturally aspirated V10 is the point, and you don't need the extra 38 hp the later cars carry to enjoy it. It suits one or two people travelling light, a day at the track, or an evening drive where the sound matters more than the lap time. It's also the more honest way to try a rear-wheel-drive supercar for the first time, since there's no all-wheel-drive system quietly bailing you out of a clumsy throttle input.
Two kinds of renter should look elsewhere. If you need to carry a third person or real luggage, no Huracan of any year does that, and a Urus gets you close to the same badge with five seats and a proper boot. If outright power is the whole point, book one of the newer 640 hp cars instead and accept the higher rate.
A few numbers to plan around. The 83-litre tank wants premium fuel and drains fast if you use the engine properly. Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you, and seat belts stay mandatory in both seats. Being a supercar, it takes a refundable deposit rather than a no-deposit deal, so budget for that upfront. The daily allowance is 250 km, then it's 0.5 dirhams for every extra kilometre, and you need to be at least 25 to take the keys. Rent this one for the engine and the honesty of the drive, not for the biggest number on the spec sheet.
