The clearance is the part renters underrate. At 205 mm the Sonet rides well above the aggressive speed humps in residential areas and clears the steep entry ramps in the Marina and Downtown without that scrape you get from a low sedan. You sit higher than in a Rio or a Yaris, which makes both traffic and underground car parks less of a chore.

Staying cool when it's 45 outside

Heat decides a lot in a Dubai rental, and a small cabin works in your favour. There's less air for the AC to chill, so the Sonet recovers faster after a long park than any large SUV would. Crank the fan for the first minute or two and the front vents pull the temperature down properly. For city use with an occasional motorway leg it's more than capable. If your week is mostly long, fast driving between emirates, look at something with more power.
