Six people land at DXB near midnight with a trolley of hard cases, and one car has to swallow all of it. That is the booking the Jetour X70 Plus 2024 takes more often than any other in Dubai, and it is also the booking where this SUV either works beautifully or leaves you rearranging luggage on the kerb. We can have one at your terminal or your building inside one to two hours, on the no-deposit plan if you would rather not tie up a card. Seven seats at an economy rate is the reason people call. Whether you can actually use all seven at once is what this page settles.
With all three rows upright the boot behind the back seats holds 94 litres. That is a couple of soft holdalls and a backpack standing on end, and it is nowhere near six people's suitcases. Fold the third row flat and the number jumps to 438 litres of square, deep, flat-floored space that takes two large hard cases plus the soft bags on top without any wrestling.
So the airport arithmetic runs one of two ways. Five travellers with a week of luggage and the third row down, which the X70 Plus is genuinely good at, or seven travellers with hand luggage and a couple of holdalls with all rows up. Seven people and seven suitcases at once is the combination that does not exist, and no seven-seater at this size manages it. If your group is six deep with a full baggage allowance, book two cars.
| Spec | Figure |
|---|---|
| Class / body | Economy SUV, 5-door |
| Seats | 7, in three rows |
| Engine | 1.6-litre turbo petrol, 1,598 cc |
| Power | 194 hp (145 kW) |
| Torque | 290 Nm |
| Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic |
| Drive | Front-wheel drive |
| Fuel economy | 7.0 L/100 km claimed combined |
| Fuel tank | 57 litres |
| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4,749 x 1,900 x 1,720 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,745 mm |
| Ground clearance | 200 mm |
| Boot (all rows up) | 94 litres |
| Boot (third row folded) | 438 litres |
The middle row is the good seat in this car. Three across is honestly comfortable for adults on a Dubai-length trip, the 2,745 mm wheelbase gives real legroom, and it slides and tumbles forward to open a path to the back.
The third row is what you would expect at this price and this length. Kids live back there happily for as long as you like, and two adults will take a twenty-minute run to a restaurant without complaining, but nobody wants that seat on a Hatta day. Treat it as overflow capacity that costs you nothing when it is folded away.
Belts are mandatory in every seat including the back row, and children under four need a proper child seat. Worth thinking through when the youngest is the one you were planning to put in the third row.
The 57-litre tank and a claimed 7.0 L/100 km put the paper range near 800 km. Nobody sees that. Load six people, run the AC hard in July, sit in Sheikh Zayed traffic, and you are closer to 9 L/100 km and a real range around 600 km. For a normal Dubai week of school runs, mall trips and one airport shuttle, that is roughly one and a half fills. It is not a thirsty car for something carrying seven.
Mileage is 300 km a day, with anything beyond that at AED 0.5 per kilometre. City families rarely get near 300 km in a day, so the allowance mostly matters if you are planning an Abu Dhabi run or a day out toward Hatta, where a return trip will use most of it. Salik tolls are yours, and any RTA fine issued during the rental passes to you. We rent from 18, which is worth knowing if the driver in your group is the one every other desk turns away at 21.
Three rows means a lot of air to cool, and a car left in an open lot in August is brutal by midday. The front vents pull the cabin down quickly once you are moving and the second row gets its own outlets, but the third row is the last place to feel cold air by some margin. Open the doors for thirty seconds before loading anyone in, run the fans high for the first few minutes, and put the smallest passengers in the back only after the cabin has caught up.
On the road it is a soft, quiet, comfort-tuned SUV rather than a quick one. The 1.6 turbo and 290 Nm move a full cabin onto the E11 without strain, though you will plan an overtake a little earlier when it is loaded. The dual-clutch gearbox is smooth at speed and can hesitate for a beat pulling away on a steep basement ramp, so give it a moment rather than more throttle. At 1,900 mm wide it takes standard mall and tower bays comfortably, and 200 mm of clearance handles community speed bumps and steep ramp lips without scraping.
One thing to be clear about: this is front-wheel drive. It is a road SUV with a high seat and good clearance, not a sand tool. Soft dunes need low range and a body-on-frame 4x4, and this is not that car.
Book the Jetour X70 Plus 2024 if you are moving people. A visiting family, a group of friends splitting one car, a school run that outgrew five seats, an airport shuttle where five seats leaves someone behind. On those weeks it is the cheapest sensible way to get a third row, a high driving position and a comfortable middle bench in Dubai.
Look elsewhere if your week is genuinely seven people and seven cases at the same time, where a van-based seven-seater with a deep boot behind the third row is the honest answer. Skip it too if there are only two of you and the back rows will never come up, because a smaller SUV parks tighter and drinks less. For everyone in between, the X70 Plus is a five-seater with a proper boot most days and a seven-seater on the days you need one, and that flexibility is what you are paying for.
