Need a five-seat SUV with room for the kids, the bags and a week of errands without the premium badge tax? We rent the Jetour T2 2026 across Dubai and bring it to your door, and you settle up however suits you on delivery: card, cash, Apple Pay or Google Pay, even crypto. That payment flexibility matters when you land late or your card is acting up abroad. But the real reason to read on is whether this boxy, well-kitted SUV is roomy and comfortable enough to be your family's car for the week, and where an established badge still earns its keep.
This is a family-space-first pick. Two adults up front, two or three kids across the back, and a boot that swallows a week's shopping plus a couple of soft bags. The square roofline is the point. Headroom in the second row is generous, taller than the swoopy crossovers in this price band, so a booster seat and a tall ten-year-old both sit comfortably. If your week is school runs, mall trips, a Friday brunch drive and the odd run out toward Hatta, the T2 covers all of it on one rental.
Where it asks for honesty is the badge and the feel. Jetour is a value brand, and you notice it in the steering, which is light and a touch numb, and in cabin plastics that look richer than they feel. None of that ruins a family week. It just means if you want the polish and resale-grade refinement of a Toyota Fortuner or the road manners of a Hyundai Tucson, you pay more for them, and some renters should.
Five seats, and the cabin is wide enough that three kids in the back is realistic rather than a squeeze. The flat floor helps the middle passenger. For luggage, expect two large cases plus a few soft bags with all seats up, and far more with the rear bench folded for an airport collection or a furniture run.
The driving position sits high, which parents tend to like for the view out, and the big glass area keeps the cabin feeling open. Kids prone to car sickness do better with that visibility than they do low in a coupe-SUV.

Dubai's summer is the real test, and the T2's saving grace here is glass and volume. A big cabin takes longer to cool than a small hatch, so park in shade where you can and give it a minute. Once moving, the front vents pull hard and the cabin settles fast. The back row gets its own vents, which is the spec that matters most with kids strapped in behind you. Run it on recirculate for the first few minutes after a midday park and it copes well with high-40s heat.
This is a tall, boxy SUV, so it eats Dubai's road furniture without drama. The 220 mm ground clearance clears mall ramps, the steep dips into older basement car parks, and the speed bumps around residential clusters without scraping. Where you pay for the height is in tight Marina towers and packed mall bays. The T2 is just under 4.8 metres long and stands high, so mirrors folded and a careful line are sometimes the difference between fitting a bay and not. Reversing sensors and the camera earn their keep here.
The 2.0 turbo and all-wheel drive give you 245 hp, enough that merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road or the E11 never feels strained, and an airport run to DXB or out to DWC is relaxed at a steady cruise. The 8.7-second sprint to 100 is brisk for a family box. Push past highway pace and the soft, comfort-tuned setup leans more than a sharper rival, so treat it as a cruiser, not a back-road weapon.
On fuel, set expectations realistically. A turbo AWD SUV this size in Dubai stop-start traffic and constant AC is not frugal. The 70-litre tank is the good news: it means a week of mixed city and highway driving rarely has you hunting a station, and a long highway day stretches comfortably between fills.
Salik tolls run on your rental, and any RTA fines during your booking pass to you, so keep to the limits the gantry cameras watch. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat, and a child seat is required for under-fours, which is worth arranging before a family pickup rather than after.
Rent the T2 if you want maximum family space and equipment for the money: a tall, comfortable five-seater for school runs, mall weeks, airport collections and the occasional light trail, paid for however suits you on delivery. It earns that rental. Just go in clear-eyed about the value-brand feel. If your week leans on highway polish, long-term refinement or a badge you already trust, an established SUV like the Tucson or Fortuner is the wiser spend. For most families who just need room and kit at a sensible rate, the T2 does the job.
