Jetour T2 2025 - start from 395 AED / day

Want an SUV that looks ready for a desert expedition without the expedition price tag? The Jetour T2 2025 is the one we hand over most when someone wants the boxy, go-anywhere look on a sensible weekly budget, and yes, it rents in Dubai with the no-deposit option, so nothing large gets frozen on your card at pickup. It's a five-seat midsize SUV with squared-off, off-road styling, AWD, and a 245 hp turbo engine. The argument of this page is simple. For the money, you get a lot of capable-looking, well-kitted SUV. Just know where its real talent ends and where its looks start writing cheques the hardware won't always cash.

What you're actually renting

The T2 wears the rugged kit well. Flat panels, exposed-look detailing, a tall upright stance, and a side-mounted spare on some builds give it the flavour of a serious 4x4. Under that, it's a turbocharged 2.0-litre putting 245 hp through an automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. That AWD is the intelligent kind that sends power around when a wheel slips, not an old-school low-range transfer case with a locker. For most renters that distinction won't matter. For a few it will, and I'll come back to it.

The cabin is the part that sells itself in person. Big screens, a clean dashboard, and proper space for five adults make it feel a class above the rate. Two adults up front and three across the back travel comfortably for a day of mall runs and beach trips.

Fuel, range and how often you'll stop

The 70-litre tank is the good news here. The 2.0 turbo isn't frugal once you lean on it, and in Dubai's stop-start traffic with the AC fighting 45-degree heat, you'll see real-world economy land closer to 11 km/L than any showroom figure. Even so, that big tank stretches a week of normal city driving and a couple of out-of-town runs into roughly one fill, give or take. Plan a fill before a long Hatta or west-coast day and you won't think about fuel again until you're back.

If outright economy is your priority, this isn't the car. A smaller SUV or a sedan will sip less. You're paying for the engine and the AWD in fuel, and that's a fair trade only if you want what they give you.

Heat, AC and the Dubai basics

Park a dark SUV in July sun and the cabin turns into an oven. The T2's AC pulls a hot interior down at a reasonable pace, helped by the rear vents that keep back-seat passengers from cooking on the school run or the airport drop. It's a big cabin to cool, so give it a few minutes with the fans up before you expect the back row to feel it. Crack the windows for the first thirty seconds to dump the worst of the heat and it copes well after that.

A few standing rules worth a line. Salik tolls run on your account through the rental, so every gate you pass is yours to pay. Any RTA fines during your booking pass to you too, so watch the cameras on Sheikh Zayed Road. Seat belts are required in every seat, and kids under four need a proper child seat, which we can fit on request.

Parking and ramps

This is a tall, wide SUV at just over two metres across the mirrors, and you feel that in older Marina towers and tight mall basements. The bays fit it, but you'll use the cameras and take the turns slowly. The upside is the 220 mm of ground clearance. Speed bumps, raised community entrances, and steep mall ramps that scrape low cars are a non-event in the T2. You sit high, you see over traffic, and nothing underneath catches.

For airport runs to DXB or DWC, the boot swallows the luggage of a family of four with room to spare. Two large cases, a couple of soft bags, and the day's shopping fit without folding seats. This is one area where the size genuinely pays off.

How far off-road can you really take it

Here's the honest part. The T2 looks like it'll climb a dune, and on hard-packed trails, graded desert tracks, and the easy stuff around Al Qudra or the route into Hatta, it handles itself well. The clearance and AWD do their job on tarmac broken by sand and on light gravel.

Serious dunes are a different sport. Soft sand bashing wants a body-on-frame 4x4 with low range, proper recovery points, and tyres aired down, and that's not what this is. Take the T2 deep into the dunes and you'll get stuck like anyone else, badge or no badge. Treat it as a confident soft-roader that looks tougher than its job description, and it'll never let you down.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Jetour T2 2025 if you want a spacious, high-riding, good-looking SUV for city life, airport runs, and the occasional light trail, all on a rate that undercuts the established names. The older model year is the bargain here. You get the same boxy presence and the same kit for less than the newer pages ask.

Skip it if you're planning real dune driving, where a Wrangler or a Land Cruiser earns its keep, or if you specifically want a long-proven badge with a deep service history behind it. Jetour is the value play, not the heritage one, and that's exactly why the rate works. For most people, that trade lands in their favour.
