Parking and city manoeuvres

This is where the Venue earns its keep. At just over four metres long and 1770 mm wide, it slots into tight multi-storey bays that leave a Creta or Tucson hunting for room. Marina and mall ramps don't faze it, the steering is light, and the higher seating makes judging the front corners easy in a packed car park.

Ground clearance is 170 mm. That clears Dubai's speed bumps and the steeper community ramps without the scrape you get in a low hatchback, but it isn't off-road height. Keep it to tarmac and well-graded tracks and it's fine.

How it copes with the heat

Every rental car in Dubai lives or dies on its AC, and a small cabin is the Venue's friend here.
