Pay on delivery with whatever you've got, card, cash, bank transfer, or a wallet tap, and we'll bring the Hyundai Creta 2023 to your door in Dubai inside one to two hours. This is the older model year, so it rents for less than the newer Cretas while doing the same job: a five-seat compact SUV that gives a family a higher seat, a usable boot, and cheap running over a Dubai week. It's a no-fuss SUV. You won't get the latest screen or the sharpest design, and that's the point of renting this one. You're paying for dependable space and a softer rate, not for the newest badge on the road.
The 2023 Creta sits in the economy SUV bracket, which in plain terms means it costs little to run but still puts you up off the tarmac. The 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder makes 115 HP and drives the front wheels through an IVT automatic, Hyundai's continuously variable gearbox. That setup is smooth and quiet around town, which is where most of your week goes anyway.
It seats five and means it. Two adults up front, three across the back on shorter hops, or two child seats with room to spare. If you're a family of four with a week of luggage, this is comfortably your car. The boot takes two large cases and a couple of soft bags without folding anything down, and you can drop the rear bench for a single big load when you need to.

The honest city figure is 11 to 13 km/L in Dubai stop-and-go traffic, with the AC working hard. On a steadier highway run you'll see considerably better. With a 50-litre tank, a tank of mostly city driving gets you somewhere around 550 to 650 km, and if a chunk of your week is highway cruising you'll stretch closer to the 870 km combined estimate. For most renters that's one fill-up across a normal week, maybe a second if you're doing daily long runs.
That makes the Creta one of the cheaper SUVs to keep moving here. Petrol's affordable, the tank isn't huge, and you're not feeding a thirsty engine. If your week is errands, school runs, and the odd trip across town, you'll barely think about the fuel gauge.
A Creta left in a summer car park gets brutally hot, same as anything else. When the air outside is in the mid-40s, the cabin behind tinted glass climbs well past that. The 2023 Creta's AC is up to it. Front vents pull hard, and there are rear vents so passengers in the back row aren't left sweating while the front cools. Give it a few minutes with the fan high and it brings a baked cabin down to comfortable. Park in shade or a basement where you can, crack the windows for the first thirty seconds, and you'll get there faster.
At 4.33 metres long the Creta is genuinely easy to place. It slots into tight multi-storey bays, handles Marina and mall ramps without drama, and U-turns don't need a three-point shuffle. The 190 mm of ground clearance is the part families underrate. It clears Dubai's tall speed bumps and steep parking ramps without that nervous scrape you get in a low hatch, and it lets you see over traffic, which makes lane changes on busy roads less of a guessing game.
This isn't an off-roader, to be clear. The front-wheel-drive Creta is built for tarmac and the occasional graded track, not soft desert sand. For Hatta wadis or dune driving you want a proper 4x4.
Around town the Creta is in its comfort zone. On Sheikh Zayed Road or the E11 it cruises fine at the limit and sits steady, but the 115 HP engine is modest. Loaded with four people and luggage, a hard overtake at speed asks the IVT to think before it responds, so plan your moves rather than stamping on it. It's secure and calm at highway pace, just not quick. For DXB and DWC airport runs it's a good fit. The boot swallows the family's cases, and the higher seat makes the long terminal-road slog less tiring.
Remember the running rules: Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental are yours to cover, seatbelts are required in every seat, and kids under four need a child seat. None of that is Creta-specific, but it's worth knowing before you set off.
Rent the 2023 Creta if you're a couple or a family of four who wants an SUV's height, space, and easy running for a Dubai week without paying the newest-year premium. It's the sensible middle choice: cheaper than a fresh Creta, roomier and more capable over bumps than a hatch.
Size up to a Hyundai Tucson if you regularly carry five adults plus full luggage, want more highway punch, or just want a bigger, plusher cabin. Go down to a hatchback like the i10 or Accent if it's only one or two of you doing pure city errands and you want the lowest possible rate and the tightest parking. And if you've got six or seven people, this five-seater won't stretch, so look at a proper seven-seat SUV or a van instead. For everyone in between, the Creta is the easy call.
