Ask for a quick overtake uphill with the AC running and you'll feel it think first, but for school runs, mall trips, and the daily commute that temperament is the right one.

What you notice more than the power is the seating. You sit up high, with a clear view over the traffic that a sedan or hatch can't give you, and that alone changes how confident a week of city driving feels. It's a calm, easy car to live with, which is most of the job here.

That's the point where the boot fills and the back seat gets tight, and a Tucson or a sedan makes more sense.

Cooling decides a summer rental here, and the Creta is honest rather than luxurious about it. Leave it in the open at 45 degrees and the cabin bakes like any car, but the front vents pull it back to comfortable within a few minutes of driving, and there are rear vents so kids in the back aren't left to suffer. Crack the windows for the first thirty seconds to dump the worst of the trapped heat, then let it run cold. Don't expect ventilated seats at this level, but the cold air does arrive quickly.

Rent the 2022 Creta if you're a couple or a small family who wants SUV height, the clearance, and a useful boot at a sensible rate, and your week is mostly city and suburb driving with the odd highway run. Size up to a Tucson if you're regularly four adults with full luggage, or if your week is long highway hauls where the 1.6 starts to feel stretched. And if your trip is mostly solo or two-up city errands and you'd rather spend less, a Venue or a hatch does that job for less money.
