The first real decision with the Haval Jolion 2025 is which version of it you want, because this compact SUV comes as both a turbo-petrol and a full hybrid, and that choice changes how the week feels more than anything else on the spec sheet. We deliver the Jolion to your door in Dubai inside one to two hours, with debit cards and pay-on-delivery accepted, so booking is the easy part. The Jolion is Haval's value crossover, a five-seater that looks pricier than it rents for, and this page is built to help you pick the right powertrain for your Dubai week and set honest expectations about the rest.
If your week is mostly city, the hybrid is the one to ask for. It sips fuel in stop-and-go traffic, returning around 20 km/L in town against roughly 12 km/L for the petrol, and the electric assist makes pulling away smoother and quieter. For a renter doing daily commutes, school runs and mall trips in heavy Dubai traffic, that's a noticeable saving and a calmer drive.
The petrol car still makes sense if your rate is the priority and you're covering longer highway stretches, where the hybrid's city advantage shrinks. The 1.5-litre turbo makes 147 to 156 hp depending on tune; the hybrid lifts combined output to 188 hp, so it's also the quicker of the two off the line. Both drive the front wheels. My desk advice: city week, take the hybrid; budget week with lots of highway, the petrol does the job.

Step in and the Jolion's value pitch is obvious. The dashboard is built around a large central touchscreen and digital instruments, with soft-touch materials where your hands actually land, and it looks a clear class above its daily price. This is the reason renters pick it over a plainer Japanese crossover at similar money. The 2025 software is cleaner and quicker than earlier Jolions, so the screen feels responsive rather than laggy.
Set expectations on the petrol car's gearbox. The seven-speed wet dual-clutch can pause for half a second from a dead stop, the moment you nudge out of a parking structure or into a gap in traffic. Once you're rolling it shifts smoothly and you forget about it. The hybrid sidesteps this entirely with its smoother dedicated transmission, which is another point in its favour for city use.
The 55-litre tank stretches a long way in both versions. The petrol covers roughly 680 to 730 km on a fill, while the hybrid's efficiency pushes that past 1000 km in mixed driving. For a typical week of city errands and a couple of airport or longer runs, the petrol fills up about once and the hybrid often goes the whole week on a single tank. Petrol is cheap here either way, so running costs stay low.
Two charges fall to the renter, not us: Salik tolls as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during the rental. Seat belts are required in every seat, and children under four need a child seat, which we can fit on request.
At 4472 mm long and 1841 mm wide the Jolion is an easy car to place. It threads Marina parking and tight multi-storey bays without fuss, and the reversing camera handles the close work. With up to 190 mm of ground clearance it clears Dubai's speed bumps and steep mall ramps that catch lower cars, and the slightly raised view is welcome in heavy traffic.
Cooling is the summer question. Parked in the open at 45 degrees the cabin bakes, and the AC needs a few minutes of strong front-vent flow before it's genuinely comfortable. It pulls down to a usable temperature reasonably quickly for the class, and rear vents keep back-seat passengers from suffering on a longer drive. Park in shade when you can to shorten the wait. It's solid air conditioning for the rate, not a luxury climate system.
Rent the Haval Jolion 2025 if you want a smartly kitted, comfortable compact SUV at a low daily rate, and you'll match the powertrain to your week: the hybrid for mostly-city driving and the lowest fuel bills, the petrol for budget-first highway trips. For a couple or small family doing normal Dubai miles, it's easy to live with and good value. Look elsewhere if you need maximum boot space for four with full luggage, or if you want the long-proven refinement and dealer reassurance of a Toyota or Hyundai equivalent. For modern tech and space without paying for a badge, the Jolion 2025 earns its keep.
