Want a Ferrari you can actually use for a week, not just photograph? We hand over the Ferrari GTC4Lusso 2024 across Dubai with a no-deposit option at booking, which is rare on a car at this level. This is the four-seat shooting brake, the one Ferrari built so two adults and two passengers and a weekend's luggage all travel in the same supercar. It still does the loud, fast Ferrari thing: a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, 610 horsepower, and 0 to 100 in 3.5 seconds. The question this page settles is whether a usable Ferrari is the right call for your trip, or whether you'd be happier in a pure two-seater or a big SUV.
The GTC4Lusso is a grand tourer with a hatchback boot and four real seats, which makes it almost unique. Most Ferraris ask you to choose between drama and practicality. This one refuses to. The rear two seats are genuine, fine for adults on shorter hops and easy for kids, and the long tailgate opens onto a boot that swallows two soft bags or a couple of cabin cases. Don't expect estate-car volume, but you won't be leaving a passenger behind to fit the luggage.
The version we rent is the rear-wheel-drive V8 T. The back end feels livelier than the all-wheel-drive V12 car, which on Dubai's wide highways is mostly an asset. You point it, it goes, and the noise out of that V8 is the part people remember.
| Spec | Ferrari GTC4Lusso 2024 (V8 T) |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.9L twin-turbo V8 |
| Power | 610 hp |
| Torque | 760 Nm |
| Transmission | 7-speed F1 dual-clutch automatic |
| Drivetrain | Rear-wheel drive |
| Seats | 4 |
| 0 to 100 km/h | 3.5 seconds |
| Top speed | 320 km/h |
| Fuel tank | 91 litres |
| Combined economy | 12.9 l/100 km |
| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4922 x 1980 x 1383 mm |
| Colours | Subject to fleet availability |
This is where the GTC4Lusso makes the most sense. Open road, that long body sitting flat at speed, and overtaking on the E11 that takes a flex of your right foot and nothing more. It has the presence to clear the fast lane and the comfort to cruise without beating you up, which is the whole point of a grand tourer rather than a track car.
It's a clean choice for a DXB or DWC pickup if you're travelling light. Two passengers and two cases fit easily. Four people with a week of full-size suitcases is where it runs out of room, and that's the honest limit. For that load, size up to an SUV.
One thing to respect: Dubai enforces speed hard, and the fines and any Salik tolls pass to you as the renter. The radar cameras don't care that it's a Ferrari, and seatbelts are mandatory in every seat. Drive it like the road's being watched, because it is.
Here's the part the glossy photos skip. The GTC4Lusso is just under two metres wide, and in Dubai's tighter multi-storey bays and older Marina structures you feel that width on every entry. Grab the end bay where you can find one.
The nose is low, the way every Ferrari's is. Aggressive speed bumps and the steeper mall and basement ramps need a slow, angled approach so you don't kiss the front splitter. It's a driving habit you adopt for the week, not a deal-breaker. If most of your trip involves diving in and out of car parks all day, that constant care gets tiring, and a higher car would suit you better.
A car parked in Dubai's summer sun gets brutal inside, and 45-degree afternoons are normal. The Lusso's climate system pulls a baked cabin down at a steady pace once you're moving, with proper vents front and rear so a back-seat passenger isn't roasting. Give it a few minutes after you climb in, because this big glass-roofed cabin takes a moment to cool.
On fuel, be realistic. The official combined figure is 12.9 l/100km, but you will not see that. Hard acceleration, the AC working flat out, and city traffic push real consumption well past it. With a 91-litre tank you'll get a comfortable range for touring, but on a week of enthusiastic driving expect to fill up more than you would in anything sensible. That's the cost of 610 horsepower, and you knew that when you booked.
We bring the car to you, usually within one to two hours of confirming, whether that's a hotel, a residence, or the terminal. Each day includes 250 km, with extra distance charged per kilometre beyond that, which covers city use and short coastal runs. Payment is flexible, from cards and bank transfer to Apple Pay, Google Pay and more. A no-deposit option is available at booking, though a car of this value may carry stricter security terms, so confirm the details when you reserve.
Rent the GTC4Lusso if you want a Ferrari for the experience but need it to function: a couple plus two passengers, real seats, a boot that works, and a V8 that delivers the noise and the pace. For a few days arriving somewhere with presence, it's one of the few exotics you can live with.
Skip it if you want the most theatrical Ferrari possible, two seats and pure focus, because a 488 or an F8 gives you more drama for the same money. And skip it if you're moving four adults and a mountain of airport luggage, because a luxury SUV does that job better and cheaper. But for the rare case of wanting a real Ferrari and real usability in the same week, nothing else quite covers it.
