Exeed Txl 2025 - start from 269 AED / day

We hand over the Exeed TXL 2025 across Dubai with 250 km a day built into the rate, which is the figure that matters most if your week mixes Marina errands with a run out to the other side of town. The TXL is Exeed's midsize SUV, the premium badge Chery sells above its mainstream cars, and on a rental it does something specific: it gives you a cabin that looks and feels close to a German SUV, a long list of kit, and a turbo with real shove, for money that sits well under the established badges. This page is about whether that trade is the right one for you, and where it isn't.

What you're actually renting

The TXL is a five-seat SUV, not a seven, so think couple, or two adults and a couple of kids, rather than a full house. The engine is a 1.6-litre turbo making 197 hp through a seven-speed automatic to the front wheels. It pulls 0 to 100 in 9.8 seconds, which is brisk enough that merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road never feels like a moment of faith. The character is comfort-led. The suspension is soft, the steering light, the cabin quiet at a cruise. It's a car built to soothe you on a long airport transfer, not to chase apexes, and on Dubai's roads that's the right instinct.

The cabin is where the money shows. Big screens, soft-touch surfaces, a panoramic roof on most trims, and seats that stay comfortable past the first hour. None of that has anything to do with the Exeed name, which most renters won't recognise, and that's fine. On a one-week rental the badge buys you nothing and costs you nothing. What you feel is the interior, and the interior punches above the rate.

Fuel, range and how often you'll stop

The 55-litre tank and a real-world figure near 7 litres per 100 km give you something close to 700 km between fills in mixed driving. For a normal Dubai week, errands, a few longer runs, an airport trip or two, that's one visit to the pump, maybe none if you collect it full and a top-up does the job. The turbo rewards a light right foot. Sit at 120 on the E11 and it sips happily. Lean on it hard from every light and the figure climbs, as it does in any turbo SUV, so the honest number for stop-start Dubai traffic is a touch higher than the brochure.

Heat, AC and the cabin in summer

Dubai summers push past 45 degrees, and a car that's been sitting in a mall car park turns into an oven. The TXL's air conditioning is strong, and the large glass roof, lovely in winter, means the first few minutes after a midday start are warm before the system wins. Give it a moment with the windows cracked and it pulls the cabin down quickly enough. There are rear vents, so back-seat passengers aren't left to suffer, which matters if you're carrying kids on a July afternoon. Park in shade where you can and the panoramic roof stops being a liability.

Parking, speed bumps and city size

At 4.78 metres long it's a proper midsize SUV, longer than a compact crossover, and you'll notice that in a tight Marina tower bay or a packed mall level. It isn't unwieldy, the cameras and sensors do the work, but it's not a city runabout you can thread anywhere either. The 200 mm of ground clearance is generous. Speed bumps, raised crossings, and the steep ramps at older malls don't scrape, and you sit high enough to see over traffic. For multi-storey hunting in the older parts of town, factor in the length and pick your bay with a little care.

Roads, airport runs and Salik

On Sheikh Zayed Road the TXL is in its element. There's enough power to overtake without drama and the quiet cabin makes an hour at highway speed easy. A DXB or DWC airport pickup with two large cases and a couple of soft bags fits the roughly 450-litre boot without a fight. Three big hard cases plus the airport overflow is where you'd want to drop the rear seats or size up.

A few Dubai rules to keep in mind. Salik tolls are charged to you as the renter, the gantries deduct automatically as you pass. Any RTA fines during the rental pass to you as well, so the usual care with speed cameras and lane discipline pays off. Seat belts are required in every seat, and a child seat is the law for under-fours, worth arranging before you collect the car if you're travelling with little ones.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the TXL if you're a couple or a small family who wants a comfortable, well-equipped SUV for a week and would rather not pay German-badge money for the feeling. The cabin, the smooth turbo, the quiet highway manners, and 250 km a day in the rate make it a genuine value pick for relaxed driving around Dubai and the odd longer haul.

Look elsewhere if you need three rows, if four adults and a full airport load are the norm rather than the exception, or if you specifically want the long service history and resale-grade familiarity of an established midsize SUV like a RAV4 or Tucson. Those are real reasons to choose differently. But for comfort and kit per dirham over a week, the TXL makes a strong case, and on a rental the unfamiliar badge is the easiest thing to forget.
