Most SUVs at this rate hand you a basic cabin and a list of things you don't get. The Exeed LX 2024 does the opposite, which is why we keep it on the fleet and why we deliver it to your door in Dubai with no deposit on the standard booking. It's a five-seat SUV with a properly equipped interior for a price that usually buys you something plainer, and that's the decision this page is here to settle: whether a well-kitted family SUV at a low rate is the right call for your week, or whether you'd be better served sizing the engine up. We'll be honest about where the LX shines and where it asks you to be patient.
The LX sits in our economy bracket but doesn't look or feel the part inside. You get a large touchscreen, a digital driver display, a clean dashboard layout, and soft-touch surfaces where cheaper SUVs leave you hard plastic. For a family of four or five, that matters more than badge value. Two adults up front and three across the back fit without anyone bargaining for knee room, and the cabin stays quiet enough on the highway for conversation.
The honest trade-off is under the bonnet. The 1.5-litre turbo four makes 147 horsepower and gets to 100 km/h in around 10.5 seconds. That's adequate, not quick. Around town and on standard commutes it's smooth and unbothered. Load all five seats plus luggage and ask for a hard overtake at speed, and you'll feel it working rather than surging. For most renters that's a non-issue. If you spend your week three-up on long highway stretches, factor it in.
| Spec | Detail |

| Engine | 1.5-litre turbo petrol |
| Drivetrain | Front-wheel drive |
| Transmission | Automatic |

| 0-100 km/h | About 10.5 seconds |
| Top speed | 200 km/h |
| Fuel tank | 51 litres |

| Boot | 400 litres |
| Colour | Red |
The 400-litre boot is the sensible-shaped kind, wide and squared off rather than deep and awkward. Two large suitcases stand up side by side, with room for a couple of soft bags on top. That covers a family of four flying in for a week, or a airport pickup where everyone packed properly. Travelling five with five hard cases is where it gets tight, and you'll be folding part of the rear bench to manage. For a DXB or DWC run with a normal load, it does the job without drama.
This is the test that matters most from June through September, when a parked cabin can sit well above 45°C. The LX's air conditioning pulls a baking interior down at a fair pace, helped by rear vents that actually reach the back seats, so kids in the second row aren't waiting out the front passengers' comfort. It's not a luxury climate system, but for the price it cools honestly and holds temperature on Sheikh Zayed Road at full speed. Park in shade where you can and crack the windows for ten seconds before you set off; the cabin clears faster that way.
At 4,520 mm long and just under 1,850 wide, the LX is a mid-size SUV, not a compact. It slots into standard multi-storey bays fine, but tight Marina ramps and the narrower older bays ask for a bit of care on the mirrors. The reversing camera and sensors earn their keep here. Ride height clears Dubai's speed bumps and mall entrance ramps without scraping, and the raised seating gives you a clear view over traffic that a hatchback can't. U-turns are easy enough; this isn't a car you'll fight in daily errands.
On a 51-litre tank returning somewhere between 12 and 14 km per litre in real mixed driving, you're looking at a usable range comfortably past 600 km. For a week of school runs, mall trips and the odd airport transfer, that's roughly one fill, maybe a top-up if you add a long day out. Petrol in the UAE is cheap, so running costs stay low even with the turbo asking for a slightly heavier right foot when fully loaded. Expect the lower end of that economy figure if you mostly drive in stop-start city traffic with the AC on hard.
A few rules that affect your bill, kept brief. Salik tolls are charged to you as the renter each time you pass a gantry, so plan routes if you're watching costs. Any RTA traffic or speed fine during your rental passes to you as well. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat, front and back, and children under four need a proper child seat, which we can add to the booking. None of this is unusual for Dubai, but it's worth knowing before you collect the keys.
Rent the Exeed LX 2024 if you want a comfortable, well-equipped five-seat SUV for family driving in and around Dubai at a rate that undercuts plainer rivals. It's a smart pick for a week of city errands, school runs and airport transfers, with a cabin that punches above its price and a boot that handles a sensible family load.
Look elsewhere if you regularly drive five adults plus full luggage on long highway hauls, where the 147-horsepower engine starts to feel stretched, or if you need genuine off-road and desert capability, which this front-wheel-drive SUV isn't built for. For everyone whose week is mostly tarmac and town, the LX gives you more car than the price suggests, and that's the whole point of having it on the fleet.
