Renting an Exeed LX 2024 in Dubai comes down to one decision, and it is worth making before you book rather than after. Do you want an SUV for the height, the room and the kit, or for the way it moves? The LX is very good at the first and merely polite about the second. We deliver it to your door anywhere in Dubai within one to two hours, and we hand it to drivers from 18 when most desks in this city start at 21. It seats five, drives its front wheels through a 1.5-litre turbo and a CVT, and it is tuned to be calm rather than quick.
The engine is a small turbocharged four, and the torque arrives early enough that the LX never feels lazy pulling away from a light. That matters more in Dubai than peak power does, because most of your driving is short bursts between signals. Off the line it feels willing.
Above 100 km/h the picture changes. Zero to 100 takes somewhere around twelve seconds, and you feel that when you want to clear a slow lorry on Sheikh Zayed Road with four people and their bags aboard. The overtake happens, but you commit to it early and you hold the lane a little longer than you would in something with more muscle.
The gearbox is the other half of the story. A CVT has no fixed ratios, so there are no shift shunts and no hesitation crawling in traffic, which is a genuine advantage on a packed Marina ramp or in a mall car park queue. The trade is the noise. Bury the throttle and the engine note climbs and then simply sits there while the car catches up, which some drivers find odd the first time. Drive it with a normal throttle and you barely notice. Drive it hard and it will remind you what it is.
One thing to be clear about: this is front-wheel drive. The raised body and the ride height say SUV, but the driven wheels say tarmac. Soft sand and dune tracks are not on the table, so if Hatta or the desert is in your plan, book a proper 4x4 instead.

At 4,520 mm long and 1,848 mm wide the LX is a normal compact SUV footprint, and it parks like one. Standard tower and mall bays take it without a shuffle, the tall glass and high seating make tight multi-storey ramps easy to judge, and U-turns need no more room than a mid-size sedan. Ride height is the quiet benefit. Published clearance figures for this car sit around 200 mm, and we would treat that as approximate rather than settled, but the effect on the road is not in doubt. Dubai's speed bumps and steep mall entrance ramps are the thing that makes low cars flinch, and the LX simply rides over them.
The boot is 400 litres, which is honest compact-SUV space rather than generous. Two large hard cases will go in, but that fills it, and a third person's luggage then rides on the back seat. For a couple with a week of shopping and one airport run it is plenty. For four adults arriving at DXB with a case each, drop the rear seats or take something bigger.
Fuel is where the LX quietly earns its keep. Around 14 km per litre in mixed driving on a 51-litre tank puts real-world range near 700 km, so a typical Dubai week of errands, commuting and one airport trip needs a single fill. Expect a little less in July when the AC is working flat out and you spend real time stationary.
Two operational notes. Salik tolls run on the renter's account for the length of the hire, and any RTA fines from cameras or parking follow you rather than us. Your rate includes 300 km per day, with extra kilometres at AED 0.5 each, so unless you are doing daily Abu Dhabi runs you will not get near the limit. Seat belts are mandatory in every seat and children under four need a proper child seat, which we can fit before delivery if you tell us in advance.
Leave any car parked in the open in August and the interior comes back at oven temperature. The LX has a fairly tall, glassy cabin, which is lovely for visibility and slightly against you here, because there is more air and more sun-struck plastic to cool down.
The front vents are strong and the system pulls the cabin to comfortable within a few minutes of driving with the fans up. Rear passengers get vents too, so back-seat riders and anyone in a child seat are not left waiting on airflow from the dash, which is not a given at this rate. The practical advice is the same as always. Park in shade where you can, run the windows down for the first thirty seconds to dump the worst of the trapped heat, and let the system do the rest once you are rolling. On the move it holds temperature without complaint at 45 outside.
Book the Exeed LX 2024 if you want a five-seat SUV that is easy to park, cheap to fuel, comfortable over bumps and better equipped inside than its rate suggests, and if your week is city driving, school and mall runs, and the occasional airport pickup. That is a large share of Dubai renters, and for them this car makes plain sense.
Look elsewhere if you spend most of your week on the E11 with a full load and want overtakes to happen the moment you ask, or if you have desert plans. A Hyundai Creta or a Haval Jolion will feel a shade more urgent on the highway, and anything off the tarmac wants a four-wheel-drive Prado or Patrol. Within its brief, though, the LX is a relaxed and genuinely comfortable way to spend a week here.
