If you need seven seats in Dubai without jumping to a big, thirsty SUV, the Chevrolet Captiva 2025 is one of the most sensible rentals on offer, and we deliver it to your door in one to two hours. The whole reason to pick it is that third row. Whether those two extra seats are genuinely useful or just an occasional bonus depends entirely on who you're carrying, so that's where this page starts. Get the seating right and the Captiva is a smart, easy seven-seater for a family week. Get it wrong and you'll wish you'd sized up.
The Captiva seats seven on paper, and that's accurate as long as you're honest about the back two. Those seats are best for kids, or for adults on short hops across town, not for grown-ups on an hour-long run to the other emirates. Use the layout the way most families do, five in the first two rows with the third folded flat for luggage, and pop the back seats up when you've got extra passengers for a school pickup or an airport collection. As an occasional seven and an everyday five, it works. As a full-time seven-adult hauler, it'll feel tight, and a larger SUV is the better call.

Boot space depends on how you've set the seats. With all three rows up, you'll fit about three large suitcases behind the back row, which is enough for a family weekend but tight if everyone's packed for a full week. Fold the third row flat, the way most renters drive it, and the load area opens up into a proper estate-sized space that takes several big cases plus the soft bags. For an airport run, the rule is simple: seven people or seven bags, rarely both at once. Plan around that and you won't be caught out.
The 1.5-litre turbo makes around 147 hp through a CVT automatic, which is set up for smooth, easy progress rather than pace. It moves a loaded Captiva around the city without complaint and cruises happily at 120 on Sheikh Zayed Road. Ask for a hard overtake with seven aboard and you'll feel the modest power, so plan those moves with a little room. Economy is reasonable for a seven-seater, roughly 9 to 10 km/L in city driving and better on the highway, and the 52-litre tank means a normal family week is one or two fills, not a daily stop. Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you, the renter.
A seven-seat cabin is a lot of air to cool, and Dubai summers sit in the mid-40s, so this matters. The Captiva's air-conditioning is sized for the job and pulls the temperature down steadily once you're moving, with strong front vents and airflow that reaches back through the cabin so third-row passengers aren't left baking. With kids in the middle and back rows, that reach is worth more than any trim detail. Park in shade where you can, give it a few minutes with the doors shut, and it gets comfortable through all three rows.
At 4670 mm long the Captiva is a proper family-sized SUV, so tight multi-storey bays and the steeper Marina ramps take a touch more care than a small crossover would. It's manageable, just not pocket-sized, and the 180 mm of ground clearance clears Dubai's speed bumps and mall ramps comfortably. The raised seating gives a clear view for placing it on U-turns and in traffic. It's front-wheel drive, so this is a road and family SUV, not a dune car. For everyday Dubai driving, school runs and airport trips, it's well sorted.
Rent the Chevrolet Captiva 2025 if you want seven seats at an economy rate and you'll mostly use it as a roomy five with the third row in reserve for kids, guests or a busy school week. That's the sweet spot, and the six colour options plus doorstep delivery make it an easy family booking. If you regularly carry six or seven adults on long cross-emirate trips, or you want strong overtaking power with a full load, look at a larger seven-seater with more muscle. And if you never need the back row, a five-seat Equinox gives you more space per passenger and a stronger engine for the same kind of money. The Captiva's whole value is flexible seating, and used that way it's hard to beat for the price.
