Park a coupe like this outside a Marina tower and people look twice. We deliver the Chevrolet Camaro 2023 across Dubai with 250 km a day included, dropped at your door in a couple of hours, and the appeal is plain the moment you sit in it. This is a rear-drive American muscle coupe rented for presence, the low stance and the noise it makes pulling onto Sheikh Zayed Road. It is not the car for a family week or an airport shuttle. If you want a head-turner for a few days and you already know the back seat is mostly decoration, this is one of the cheaper ways to drive something with real road drama.
This listing is the turbocharged 2.0-litre four, not the V6 or the 6.2 V8 SS. It puts 275 horsepower to the rear wheels through an automatic gearbox, runs 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.5 seconds and tops out at 240 km/h. That is genuinely quick. The four-cylinder doesn't have the deep V8 bark some people expect from a Camaro, but it pulls hard, the exhaust has a real edge to it, and on an open stretch of the E11 it has more than enough to feel fast and confident.
Rear-wheel drive is part of the character. It makes the car feel planted in a way front-drive coupes never manage, and it means you treat the throttle with respect on a wet underpass or a dusty road.

Chevrolet calls this a four-seater and on paper it is. In practice the Camaro is a 2+2. The front seats are low, snug and properly supportive, fine for two adults on a long cruise. The rear bench is a token gesture. Headroom back there is almost nothing, legroom needs the front seats slid forward, and getting in means folding yourself past the seatback. Use it for bags or a short hop with kids, not for two grown passengers across town.
The boot tells the same story. At roughly 258 litres it swallows one large case and a soft bag, or a couple of cabin cases, and that's the limit. A high parcel shelf and a small opening make it fiddlier than the number suggests. For a DXB or DWC run with a full set of suitcases, this is the wrong car and you'll feel it at the kerb.
A low, dark cabin under a June sun gets hot fast. The AC pulls a parked cabin down within a few minutes once you're moving and the front vents are strong, but the first stretch after it has baked in a surface lot is uncomfortable. Park in shade or underground, crack the windows for the first minute, and let it work. Rear occupants get less airflow, another reason the back is best left empty.
Visibility is the other daily compromise. The roofline is low, the windscreen pillars are thick and the rear glass is a slot. Reversing into a tight multi-storey bay, you lean on the camera and sensors more than your mirrors. The car is wide too, close to 1.9 metres, so narrow Marina ramps and older parking structures take care.
The Camaro rides firm. On Dubai's smooth highways that's no problem, and it's part of why the car feels tied down at speed. Over the sharper speed bumps in residential clusters and mall car parks you feel every one, and the long, low nose wants a careful approach angle on steep ramp lips. Take humps straight and slow and you'll be fine, but this isn't a car you forget about over rough ground.
Fuel-wise, the turbo four is the sensible engine of the range, yet a heavy right foot in city traffic still puts you around 10 to 11 litres per 100 km. The roughly 72-litre tank gives a comfortable week of normal driving between fills, so refuelling won't dominate your trip unless you spend it pinned on the highway.
A few Dubai basics apply. Salik tolls are charged to you at each gantry, and any speed-camera or RTA fines during your rental are passed on, so the enforcement on Sheikh Zayed Road is worth respecting in a car this quick. Seat belts are mandatory front and rear. Security terms on a performance car can be stricter than on an economy hatch, so confirm the deposit and driver conditions at booking rather than assuming.
Rent the Camaro if you want a statement for a few days: a weekend, a shoot, a special occasion, or just the experience of a rear-drive muscle coupe on Dubai's best roads at a softer rate than the V8 cars command. Two people travelling light will love it.
Skip it if the car is your daily transport for the week. Four adults, a real luggage load, frequent airport runs, or anyone who has to fold into the back regularly should book a sedan for comfort or an SUV for space. The Camaro earns its keep on looks, noise and pace, not on practicality, and it's honest about that. Take it for what it is and it's one of the most enjoyable rentals on the list.
