From the outside the Audi RS6 2024 looks like a fast estate. It is, in fact, a 600 horsepower twin-turbo V8 that will out-drag most things wearing a supercar badge, and we'll bring one to your door in Dubai within one to two hours. That gap between how it looks and what it does is the whole appeal. You can do the school run, load the boot for the airport, and still leave a sports coupe behind at the lights on Sheikh Zayed Road, all in a car that draws no more attention than a wagon. This page answers the only question that matters before you book one: is a 600 hp family estate the right thing to rent for your week here, or is it more car than the week needs. For the right driver it's superb. There are two honest catches, and we'll get to both.
The RS6 is built around Audi's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that smooths the stop-start and trims a little fuel at idle. Power runs through an eight-speed automatic and quattro all-wheel drive, so all four tyres put it down. From rest it reaches 100 km/h in about 3.6 seconds, which in a five-seat wagon with a 565-litre boot is faintly absurd. Top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h, far past anything Dubai's roads will let you use.
In practice the pace is instant and undramatic. The car never feels like it's working at 120 on the E11, and overtakes happen in the gap between deciding and doing. Quattro and the wide track give it composure most renters won't have felt in a car this size, and the suspension keeps it flat through a fast sweeper where a normal estate would lean.

Yes, and that's the RS6's real argument over anything else this fast. The 565-litre boot takes two large suitcases plus soft bags with room to spare, and folding the rear seats opens up far more for a shopping run or a bulky load. Four adults sit comfortably, and five works for shorter hops. The rear bench is a proper bench, not the token seat you get behind a coupe, so a child seat fits without a fight, and under-fours legally need one in Dubai.
This is why you'd take the RS6 over a low supercar or a fast two-door. You get the pace and most of the drama without telling half your group to call a taxi. For an airport run to DXB or DWC with everyone and their cases, the wagon shape earns its keep where a slammed coupe simply can't.
A 600 hp V8 is thirsty, and Dubai's traffic and heat make it thirstier than any brochure figure. Expect roughly 8 km/L in the city and maybe 11 on a steady highway cruise. On the 73-litre tank that's around 580 to 800 km between fills depending on how you drive, and an RS6 tends to drag you toward the lower end. Budget for refuelling every two to three days of normal use, more if you're enjoying it. Fuel in the UAE is cheap by global standards, so this is a convenience point more than a cost shock, but if frequent stops irritate you, that's a real mark against the car.
You also carry the usual Dubai running costs. Salik tolls are billed to you, and any RTA speeding fines during the rental are yours to settle. The RS6 makes fast feel slow, which is exactly when cameras catch people, so watch the limits. Seat belts are mandatory in every seat.
Park an RS6 in the sun at 45 degrees and it bakes like anything else, but the climate system is strong and pulls the interior down quickly once you're moving, with proper rear vents for passengers in the back. The seats are ventilated, which on a Dubai afternoon matters more than almost any performance number. Give it a couple of minutes with the fan up after collection and it's comfortable before you've left the building.
This is the other thing to know. The RS6 is wide, nearly 1,951 mm across the body before mirrors, and almost five metres long. In open valet it's a non-issue. In a tight multi-storey near the Marina, or an older mall with narrow bays, you'll be folding the mirrors and taking U-turns wide. The low ride and modest 133 mm of clearance mean you also take the steep ramps and aggressive speed bumps slowly. If most of your week is squeezing into cramped residential parking, factor that in honestly.
Rent the RS6 2024 if you want genuine supercar pace and refuse to give up the boot, the back seat and the ability to bring everyone along. Nothing else this quick is this usable, and the understated wagon shape is part of the charm. If your week is mostly calm city errands and the V8 isn't the point, save the money and the fuel stops with a calmer A6, which gives you the same badge and space for far less. And if you want similar pace with the height and presence of an SUV, the Audi RSQ8 is the car to compare. The RS6 is for the driver who wants to go genuinely fast and take the family with them, and on that brief it has almost no rival.
