Some renters want a car that keeps up with a Cayenne off the lights and still swallows the family's airport cases. The Audi RS6 2023 is the rare answer, and we'll bring one to your door in Dubai within 1 to 2 hours of booking. This is a 591 horsepower estate, a twin-turbo V8 wagon that does the school run on Monday and embarrasses sports coupes on Sheikh Zayed Road on Friday. That's the whole pitch and the whole question this page settles: can one car really be a supercar and a family hauler at once, and is the RS6 the version of that you actually want for a week in Dubai. It nearly is. There are two honest catches, and we'll get to both.
The RS6 is built around Audi's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, helped by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that smooths the stop-start and shaves a little fuel at idle. Power lands at 591 hp through an eight-speed automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive, so all four tyres put the torque down. From a standstill it reaches 100 km/h in about 3.6 seconds, which in a five-seat wagon with a 565-litre boot is faintly absurd. Top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h, well past anything Dubai's roads will ever let you use.
What that means in practice: instant, undramatic pace. The car doesn't feel like it's working hard at 120 on the E11. Overtakes happen in the gap between deciding and doing. Quattro and the wide track give it composure most renters won't have felt in a car this size, and the air suspension keeps it flat through a fast sweeper instead of leaning like a normal estate.

Yes, and this is the RS6's real argument. The 565-litre boot takes two large suitcases plus soft bags with room to spare, and folding the rear seats opens up far more for a furniture run or a week's shopping. Four adults sit comfortably. Five works for shorter hops. The rear bench is a proper bench, not the token back seat you get in a fast coupe, so a child seat fits without a fight, and under-fours legally need one in Dubai.
This is the case for the RS6 over something like a Lamborghini Urus or a fast coupe. You get the pace and most of the drama without telling half your group to call a taxi. For an airport run to DXB or DWC with the whole family and their cases, the wagon shape earns its keep where a low supercar simply can't.
A 591 hp V8 is thirsty, and Dubai's traffic and heat make it thirstier than the brochure. Expect somewhere around 8 km/L in city driving and maybe 11 on a steady highway cruise. On a 73-litre tank that's roughly 580 to 800 km between fills depending on how you drive, and how you drive an RS6 tends toward the lower end. Budget for refuelling every two to three days of normal use, more if you're enjoying it. Petrol in the UAE is cheap by global standards, so this is a convenience point more than a cost shock, but if the idea of frequent fuel stops irritates you, that's a real mark against this car.
You also carry the running costs that come with any Dubai rental. Salik tolls are billed to you, and any RTA speeding fines or violations during your rental are yours to settle. The RS6 makes speed feel slow, which is exactly when the cameras catch people, so watch the limits on the E11. Seat belts are mandatory in every seat.
Park an RS6 in the sun at 45°C and the cabin bakes like anything else, but the climate system is strong and pulls a parked interior down quickly once you're moving, with proper rear vents for passengers in the back. The seats are ventilated, which on a Dubai afternoon matters more than almost any performance number. Give it a couple of minutes with the fan up after collection and it's comfortable before you've left the building.
This is the other thing to know. The RS6 is wide, nearly 1,950 mm across the body before mirrors, and almost five metres long. In open valet it's a non-issue. In a tight multi-storey near the Marina, or an older mall with narrow bays, you'll be folding the mirrors and taking U-turns wide. The air suspension can raise the nose to clear a steep ramp or a high speed bump, which helps, but the width never goes away. If most of your week is squeezing into cramped residential parking, factor that in honestly.
Rent the RS6 if you want genuine supercar pace and you refuse to give up the boot, the back seat and the family. Nothing else this fast is this usable. If your week is mostly calm city errands and you don't care about the V8, save the money and the fuel stops and take a calmer A6, which gives you the same badge and space at a fraction of the running cost. And if you want the same pace with the height and presence of an SUV, and you'll be tackling rougher ground or just prefer sitting tall, the Lamborghini Urus is the car to compare. The RS6 is for the person who wants to go fast and bring everyone with them, and on that brief it has almost no rival.
