Distance included
250 km per day
Extra Charge
2 AED per additional km
Plug it in overnight, wake up to a full battery, and most Dubai weeks never need a charging plan at all. That is the everyday case for the Tesla Model 3 2021, and yes, it rents in Dubai with 250 km a day included, which is plenty for commutes, errands and the odd airport run without watching the meter. We hand it over with the battery topped up and walk you through the screen before we go. What follows is an honest read on whether an electric sedan suits your week here. The Model 3 is quick, clever and easy to live with, but only if you're comfortable charging and happy with a cabin where almost everything lives on one display.
This is the rear-wheel-drive Standard Range Plus, a five-seat business sedan with a single-speed motor and no gear changes to think about. Power comes from a roughly 55 kWh battery feeding a 198 kW motor on the rear axle. It does 0 to 100 in about 5.6 seconds, so it pulls away from a Sheikh Zayed Road on-ramp faster than almost anything in its rental bracket, and in near silence. Top speed sits at 225 km/h, well past anything legal here.
The instant torque is the part people underestimate. There's no gearbox to wake up, so slotting into fast E11 traffic is effortless and overtaking on a run to Hatta takes no planning. Around town it's calm and light to steer, and one-pedal driving (lift off and it brakes itself) becomes second nature within a day.

Tesla quotes around 440 km for this RWD car, but that's a lab figure. In a Dubai summer, with the AC working hard and some highway speed, plan for 320 to 360 km on a full charge. That's still more than enough for a normal day, and 250 km a day is included anyway. If you charge overnight at home or your building, you'll rarely touch a public charger.
Charging in Dubai is genuinely easy now. DEWA's EV Green Charger network covers malls, hotels and main roads, and many residential towers have chargers in the basement. A public AC charger tops the battery while you shop or eat. The one trip that needs thought is a long Abu Dhabi or Hatta day, where you'll want to start full and know your charging stop. For pure city and commute use, charging is a non-issue.
If planning charging at all sounds like a chore, this isn't your car. A petrol economy sedan refuels in five minutes anywhere, and that simplicity wins for some renters. The Model 3 rewards people who like the tech and don't mind a habit of plugging in.
Everything runs through the central 15-inch screen: climate, mirrors, even the glovebox. There's no instrument cluster and very few buttons. Most people adapt fast, but if you want physical dials and a traditional dash, the minimalism will annoy you, and that's worth knowing before you book rather than after.
On heat, the Model 3 copes well. Park it in 45 degree sun and the AC pulls the cabin down quickly once you're moving, helped by strong front vents and rear vents too. You can pre-cool it from the Tesla app before you walk out, so you step into a cool car instead of an oven, which is the single best summer feature here. The big glass roof looks great but soaks up heat when parked, so pre-cooling matters more than in a metal-roofed car.
At 4.69 metres it's a compact sedan, easy in Marina and mall multi-storey bays, with a tight turning circle that makes U-turns painless. The 140 mm clearance is normal sedan height, so take speed bumps and steep ramp transitions slowly, but nothing here scrapes in everyday use.
Boot and frunk together are the surprise. The rear trunk swallows two large cases plus soft bags, and the front frunk takes a cabin bag or backpack on top. For a couple flying out of DXB or DWC, luggage is a solved problem. For five adults plus a week of cases it gets tight, but for two or a small family it's roomy.
A few local rules apply to any rental. You pay Salik tolls as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during your rental are yours, so mind the speed cameras, which the Model 3's quiet pace makes easy to forget. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat. From 18 you can rent with us, which is younger than most desks allow.
Rent the Model 3 2021 if you commute or drive around the city, you can charge at home or your building, and you actually want the quick, quiet, gadget-led experience. For that renter it's one of the easiest and most enjoyable cars we hand over. If you'd rather not think about charging, or you want a familiar button-and-dial dashboard, take a petrol sedan instead and save yourself the adjustment. The Model 3 is a brilliant car for the right person and a faff for the wrong one, and only you know which you are.
