Step out of the latest Rolls-Royce Cullinan 2025 and people look. We hand over this flagship V12 super-SUV across Dubai with 250 km of driving included every day, so a long arrival run from the airport to a Palm villa to a Downtown dinner sits comfortably inside the allowance. The Cullinan is the most luxurious SUV money rents here, and the freshest of them too. What this page sorts out is whether that hushed, magic-carpet ride is the right call for your occasion, or whether your money buys a better day in something else.
This is a near five-and-a-half-metre limousine riding high on air suspension, powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 making 563 hp. It moves with almost no drama. The engine is felt more than heard, and the cabin stays quiet at speed in a way no other SUV at any rental desk matches. The 2025 car carries the current dashboard layout and updated screen tech, so the interior feels of-the-moment rather than a few years old.
It does 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, which is brisk for something this size, but speed isn't the point. The Cullinan is built to glide. Throttle inputs are softened, the steering is light, and the body leans gently through corners rather than gripping hard. If you want a luxury SUV that eggs you on, this isn't it, and I'll come back to that.

Most people who rent a Cullinan spend at least part of the time in the back, and that's where it earns its rate. The rear seats are raised slightly so you sit above the road and see over traffic. Legroom is generous, the doors close with that famous heavy thunk, and the ride smothers Dubai's expansion joints and speed bumps better than anything else on offer. For a wedding, a milestone birthday, or collecting a guest who needs to arrive looking like the day matters, the back of this car does the work.
That comfort holds in the heat. Park a black cabin under the July sun and it bakes like any car, but the climate system is strong and the rear gets its own vents and controls, so a cooked interior at 45 degrees comes down to liveable within a few minutes rather than fighting you the whole drive. Tinted glass and the deep seats help passengers settle fast.
The boot swallows several large suitcases plus soft bags, so a family's airport haul or a weekend's worth of luggage for four is no trouble. Space inside isn't the issue. The footprint is.
At over 2 metres wide and 5.3 metres long, the Cullinan is a genuinely large car to place in this city. Marina tower parking and older mall structures with tight bays and low ramps are where you'll feel it most. The 173 mm of clearance clears standard speed bumps and ramps without scraping, but you'll be using the cameras constantly and thinking ahead at every U-turn. If your week involves a lot of self-parking in cramped structures, factor that in. Valet, which most Cullinan renters lean on anyway, makes the size a non-issue.
Be clear-eyed here: the V12 drinks. Real economy lands around 6.7 to 7.0 km/L, and in stop-start city running with the AC fighting the heat you'll see the lower end. On a 90-litre tank that's roughly 600 km between fills in gentle driving, less when you're crawling through traffic. For a few days of arrivals and dinners you might fill once or twice. Fuel is the smallest line on a Cullinan rental, so the thirst matters less than it would on a budget car, but don't expect a hatchback's range.
On Sheikh Zayed Road the car is in its element. It cruises at the limit dead quiet, overtakes with a long effortless surge, and its sheer presence tends to clear the fast lane. Airport runs to DXB or DWC are exactly what it's for: a calm, cosseting trip after a long flight. Just remember the renter covers Salik tolls, and any RTA fines or speed-camera penalties pass to you, so the quiet pace that suits this car also keeps you clear of trouble. Belts on in every seat, as always.
Rent the Cullinan when the occasion is the point: an arrival you want remembered, a guest to impress, a day spent in supreme rear-seat comfort being driven through the city. Nothing at a Dubai rental desk matches its presence or its ride, and the 2025 car is the freshest version of it. Security terms on a car at this level can be stricter, so confirm the details when you book.
But if what you actually want is to drive, to feel the car turn in and push back on a fast road, the Cullinan will leave you cold. It's tuned to waft, not to thrill. For that, a sportier luxury SUV like an Urus or a Bentley Bentayga gives you real pace and feedback without giving up much comfort. Pick the Cullinan to be seen and cosseted. Pick something sharper if you want the drive itself to be the occasion.
