Black is the colour most people picture the moment someone says Rolls-Royce, and on the Cullinan it's also the one renters ask for most at our Dubai desk. This Rolls-Royce Cullinan 2024 rental comes in that black, five seats, all-wheel drive, and reaches your hotel, villa or terminal within one to two hours of booking. Renting a Cullinan usually gets framed as a back-seat decision, who's up front while someone else drives. This page is for the renter planning to hold the wheel themselves, working out what a week with this much car, in this colour, actually involves once the door shuts and the ignition catches.
The mechanical case for this car hasn't changed since Rolls-Royce built the first Cullinan: a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 making 563 hp and 850 Nm, sent through an eight-speed automatic to all four wheels. Rolls-Royce quotes 5.2 seconds to 100 km/h and caps the top speed at 250 km/h, both quick figures for a car close to 2,660 kg, though quick isn't really how it feels from inside. The torque arrives low and stays flat, so pulling past slower traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road happens without the engine building up to it or the gearbox hunting for a lower gear. The air suspension does as much of the work as the engine. It reads the road ahead and softens the body before a bump lands, which is why the patched tarmac and expansion joints that jolt a normal SUV barely register here. None of that comes cheap to run. Combined fuel economy sits around 16.5 litres per 100 km on premium fuel, and a 100-litre tank empties faster across a week of city driving than almost anything else in our fleet, so budget for more stops than you would in a Range Rover or a Cayenne.

Five seats, not seven, with the rear bench set high enough that passengers look out over the traffic around them rather than into it. Two adults travel properly back there, with the width and cushioning that make an hour to the airport feel shorter than it is. The boot holds 560 litres behind the seats, enough for two large cases and a couple of soft bags without folding anything down, which covers a couple or a small family cleanly. Push it to four adults with a full week of luggage split between them, and the boot runs out before the cabin does. Fold the bench and it opens to roughly 1,930 litres, though if you're renting a Cullinan to shift boxes, you've picked an expensive way to do it.
Size is the other daily reality, and it doesn't change with the colour. At 5,341 mm long and 2,000 mm wide across the body, wider again with the mirrors out, this isn't a car you thread into a Marina tower bay at speed. Go slowly, use the cameras, and fold the mirrors in anywhere tight. The 173 mm of ground clearance and the height-raising air suspension handle mall ramps and speed bumps without drama, so it's the length you're managing in a car park, not the clearance.
Black paint and a Dubai summer don't do each other any favours. A cabin this size under this much glass, finished dark, comes back from a few hours parked outside genuinely hot, more so than the same car in a lighter colour. Start the engine and give the climate system a minute before you get back in rather than expect cold air the second the door shuts. Once it catches up, the front vents pull hard and cold air reaches the rear seats directly instead of trickling back from the dash, so the cabin recovers faster than the outside temperature would suggest. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during the rental are yours to settle, seat belts are required in every seat, and a child under four needs a proper child seat regardless of what's parked outside. The daily allowance is 250 kilometres, and unlike some Cullinans in our fleet that charge a steep rate once you're past it, this one bills extra kilometres at AED 0.5 each, close to what most of our other cars charge. That makes it a genuinely easier car to plan a loose week around rather than a single mapped-out trip.
Book it if you want to drive a Rolls-Royce yourself rather than sit behind someone doing it for you, and you're comfortable placing a wide car in tight Dubai parking. Black is the colour most renters ask for on this model, and it's the one that photographs best outside a hotel entrance or a wedding venue, worth factoring in if part of the rental is about how the car looks parked, not just how it drives. The gentler mileage rate means you don't have to plan the week around a kilometre count the way you would on some of our other Cullinans, so a normal mix of city driving and the odd longer trip doesn't punish you. You'll need to be 21 to take the keys, younger than the 25 some cars in this class ask for, though a refundable deposit still applies as it does across our most expensive class.
If your week is mostly about arriving somewhere and being driven rather than doing the driving, book a chauffeur instead and let someone else worry about the width. And if you're after the presence without the running cost or the parking anxiety, a Range Rover or a Porsche Cayenne gets you most of the comfort for a lot less risk. The Cullinan in black is the version most people picture when they hear the name, and this one's terms make it easier to actually use for a week than most.
