We bring the Mercedes E350 2023 to your door in Dubai inside one to two hours, so the executive saloon you booked is parked outside the hotel or office by the time you've finished checking in. This is the full-size E-Class, a 2.0L mild-hybrid four with a hushed, screen-rich cabin built for business trips, airport transfers and long, relaxed highway miles. It rents in Dubai as a comfort-first car, not a sports saloon, and the rest of this page is about whether that suits your week or whether you'd be happier a size down or higher up.
Most people who rent this car remember the inside, not the engine. The dashboard runs two wide displays side by side, one behind the wheel and one for the maps, media and climate, and the whole thing reads clearly even with the windscreen catching low desert sun. The materials feel like what you're paying for. Soft surfaces where your arms rest, proper switchgear, and a back seat that an adult passenger can actually stretch out in.
For a business renter this is the point. You can take a client to dinner, run two colleagues to a meeting across town, and nobody arrives creased or shouting over road noise. The five seats are genuinely usable, and at 4,949 mm long there's stretch room front and back that a smaller saloon can't match.
The E350 is a cruiser, and Dubai's long highways are exactly where it makes sense. The 255 hp turbo four pulls cleanly with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system smoothing the start-stop and filling in low-speed gaps, so pulling away from lights and merging onto the E11 is quiet and unhurried. The nine-speed automatic shuffles ratios in the background and rarely makes a fuss.
Rear-wheel drive and a long wheelbase give it a settled, planted feel above 100, the kind of car that makes a run to DXB or out to DWC feel shorter than it is. What it isn't is sharp. The steering is light and the suspension leans toward soft, so if you want a saloon that feels keen through a corner, this isn't that car and you shouldn't pretend it will be. As a calm motorway tool, it's hard to beat in the class.

Dubai summer is the real test, and a parked E350 left in a 45-degree car park gets hot like anything else. The upside is a strong climate system and rear vents, so once you're moving the cabin pulls down quickly and the people in the back aren't left baking. On a hotel-to-airport run with luggage and passengers, that rear-seat cooling matters more than people expect when they book.
Give it a minute or two before you put a child or an older passenger in after it's sat in the sun. After that, it holds a steady, quiet cool even in July traffic.
The 540-litre boot is the easy yes here. Two large hard cases and a couple of cabin bags fit without a fight, which is why this car works for airport jobs where a smaller hatch would have you playing luggage Tetris. Golf clubs, a week's shopping, event kit, it swallows the lot.
On fuel, expect a real-world 9 to 10 km/L in mixed Dubai driving, more on a steady highway run, less in stop-start city crawling. With the 66-litre tank that's getting on for a tank a week for most renters, so you're not living at the pump. Plan your stops around the cheaper stations rather than the airport forecourts.
A couple of Dubai practicalities: Salik tolls are charged to you as the renter, and any RTA fines during the rental pass to you as well, so keep an eye on the speed limits the gantry cameras enforce. Seat belts are required in every seat. None of this is unusual, but it's worth knowing before you collect the keys.
This is a long car, just under five metres, and you'll feel it in a tight multi-storey bay or a narrow Marina ramp. The cameras and sensors do most of the work, and once it's straight the E-Class is easy to place, but it's not a point-and-squeeze city runabout. Budget the extra second for U-turns and bay entries.
Ground clearance is a modest 97 mm, normal for an executive saloon, so take the aggressive community speed bumps and steep ramp lips slowly and at an angle. Drive it sensibly and it won't scrape; rush a bad bump and you'll hear about it.
Rent the E350 if your week is built around business meetings, hotel and airport runs, and comfortable highway distance with passengers who expect a proper executive car. For that brief, it's one of the best-value choices in Dubai and the cabin alone justifies the booking.
Look elsewhere in two cases. If it's mostly solo city driving and tight parking, a C-Class gives you the same badge and screen tech in an easier-to-place body for less. And if you've got a big family, a lot of luggage, or any plan to leave the tarmac for Hatta or the dunes, the low clearance and saloon shape will hold you back, so size up to a luxury SUV instead. For the calm business cruiser it's built to be, though, the E350 delivers.
