All of that goes to the rear wheels. There's no 4MATIC all-wheel-drive badge on this car, and on Dubai's dry, well-surfaced roads you won't miss it.

204 hp doesn't sound like much next to a C43 AMG sitting higher in the range, but 0 to 100 km/h comes up in around 7.3 seconds, and the mild hybrid smooths out the flat spot you'd expect from a small turbo engine off the line. On Sheikh Zayed Road it settles into a quiet, composed cruise, with enough left in reserve for a confident overtake without a downshift or two. Think of it as the accessible way into a Mercedes sedan: the badge, the cabin and most of the comfort, without paying C300 or E-Class money to get them.

Boot, back seat and the daily use
