Drop the throttle in the Lamborghini Urus 2021 and 650 hp hits in one shove, the V8 clears its throat behind you, and the car is at 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. We deliver it anywhere in Dubai inside one to two hours, and you can rent it from 18 rather than the 21 most exotic desks insist on. That speed is the reason most people book this car, so this page leads with it: what the Urus is actually like to drive hard here, where in Dubai you get to use it, and the running cost that comes with a super-SUV you'll want to push every day.
The Urus is a Lamborghini that happens to seat a family, and the headline is the engine. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 makes 650 hp and all-wheel drive puts it down cleanly, so there's none of the wheelspin drama you'd expect from this much power. It just goes. The 3.6-second sprint isn't a brochure number you'll never feel; it's there every time a slip road opens up in front of you.
Where you actually use it matters in Dubai. Sheikh Zayed Road and the E11 are where the Urus comes alive, holding three figures without a sound and overtaking with a flex of your ankle. The empty desert highways out past Al Qudra reward it too. What it isn't built for is crawling around a packed Marina car park all week, and we'll come back to that.

A 650 hp V8 doesn't sip, and budgeting for that up front saves you a surprise mid-trip. The official combined figure is 12.7 L/100km, but that's a lab number. Dubai's stop-start traffic, the AC working against 45-degree heat, and the fact that this car begs you to use the throttle all push real consumption well past it. On the 85-litre tank, plan to refuel every 350 to 450 km of mixed driving, sooner if you're enjoying it. Premium fuel only. For a few high-impact days the cost barely registers; for a week of long daily highway runs, factor it in before you commit.
Three things shape the day-to-day with this car in Dubai. The heat first: the black cabin bakes after a midday handover, but the AC is strong and pulls a sealed interior down fast, with rear vents so back-seat passengers aren't left to suffer. Give it a couple of minutes before it feels right.
Then the size. At over five metres long and more than two metres wide with the mirrors out, the Urus fills a standard bay and makes tight older multi-storey ramps a slow, camera-assisted job. The low nose wants a careful angled approach on steep ramps and aggressive speed bumps. The 360-degree cameras help, but this is not a car you thread into the tightest spots without thinking.
Last, the charges that land on you. Salik tolls, RTA fines, and speed-camera penalties all pass to the renter, and Dubai's enforcement is automatic at exactly the speeds this car tempts you toward. Watch the limits. Seat belts are mandatory in every seat, and a child seat is required for under-fours, which we can fit on request.
The 616-litre boot is what earns the SUV badge. It takes two large hard cases plus soft bags, so a DXB or DWC pickup for two with a week of luggage is no trouble. Four travellers each with a full-size case is the point where you'd fold a rear seat. The cabin seats five on paper but works best as a four, with the middle rear seat better suited to a short hop across town than a long run across the emirates.
Rent the Urus 2021 if you want the V8 drama and the acceleration as the main event, with enough seats and boot to keep the same car useful the rest of the week. Nothing in this class delivers supercar pace with daily practicality so completely, and renting from 18 with flexible payment puts it within reach for a milestone trip rather than a someday plan.
Skip it if your week is mostly squeezing into cramped residential parking, or if a heavy fuel bill is going to nag at you. A Range Rover or Bentley Bentayga does the luxury-SUV job with far less noise and lower running cost. But if the point is the launch, the sound, and being seen, the Urus delivers exactly that.
