The badge on the tailgate reads GAIA Elite, and this blue 2027 G700 Flagship is the most complete car Jetour has sent us: massage front seats, second-row captain chairs with fold-out tables, a roof-mounted screen for the back, quilted tan leather with ambient lighting, and twenty-inch alloys wearing proper Michelin 275/60 R20 rubber. It is the G700 specced the way the shape always promised, and it costs a fraction of what this equipment list usually signs you up for.

The Flagship difference

The standard G700 is a very good six-seat family SUV. The Flagship is a different brief: the second row is the best seat in the house. The captain chairs get their own control panel, tray tables that fold out flat enough to work on, and the roof screen deployed overhead. The front seats add power adjustment with massage programmes, and the whole cabin is stitched in quilted tan leather that looks and smells like it belongs two price brackets up. After dark the ambient lighting traces the dash and doors, and the effect from the kerb is unambiguous: someone important is in the back.

The blue paint is the pick of the range in daylight, and the Michelins are not a cosmetic flex; a 275-section tyre on a twenty-inch wheel is what keeps a 4WD box this size composed at highway speed.

Driving it, or being driven in it

Driven, the 2.0-litre turbo and automatic move it with unstressed ease, the ride is soft in the way big luxury off-roaders should be, and the 4WD means the desert-camp track on Friday is part of the itinerary, not a detour. But this trim makes the strongest case as a chauffeur car: put a client in the second row with the table out on the way to DIFC, and the G700 Flagship does the work a much more expensive German saloon usually does, with better headroom and a better view out.

The paperwork, the tolls, and the fine print

You can rent from 18 here, with at least 12 months on your licence. Bring your driving licence, passport and a credit card; payment on pickup is card or cash, and the deposit is AED 5,000. Fuel is same-to-same: it comes to you with a level, it goes back at that level. Salik tolls are billed to your booking as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during the rental are yours. A child seat is the law for under-fours, and we will fit one on request.

Mileage is 300 km a day, 1,500 km a week, 4,500 km a month, then AED 0.5 per extra kilometre. That daily allowance covers a Dubai commute with room to spare; if you are planning a proper road trip loop through the northern emirates, the weekly allowance is the one to book against.

The longer you keep it, the less each day costs

The rate steps down automatically with the length of the booking: 3% off from 3 days, 5% off at a week, 8% past two weeks, 12% past three, and 15% once you cross a month, with further steps beyond that. Nobody needs to ask for a code; the calendar does the discounting.

Who should book it

This is the one for anniversaries, investor visits, and anyone who wants the full executive-SUV experience without a German invoice.
