Most sedans in a Dubai rental fleet are German or Japanese, and they all drive with the same quiet, isolated character. The Dodge Charger 2022 doesn't. It's a full-size, rear-wheel-drive American sedan built on the same bones as a proper muscle car, with a 3.6-litre V6 that has real rasp to it and a back seat long enough for grown adults to actually stretch out in. We deliver it to your door in Silver, usually inside one to two hours of booking. This page is about what that different character costs you and what it buys you, because the Charger asks you to trade a bit of composure for a lot of presence and space.
Here's the number that matters: 300 hp from the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic. This is a rear-wheel-drive car, as every Charger sold in the GCC is, so the full 300 hp goes through the back tyres alone, not split to the front axle the way it would be in most sedans this size. 0-100 km/h takes about 6.9 seconds, quick but not violent, and the car tops out around 240 km/h, a Sheikh Zayed Road cruiser with real reserves for overtaking rather than a car you'll ever run out of breath in.
The V6 doesn't have the drama of the V8 HEMI versions that also wear the Charger badge, and if you were hoping to rent the loud one, this isn't it. What you do get is the driving position that comes with the badge regardless of engine: long bonnet, low seating, weight sitting over the back axle, and enough torque, 358 Nm, that overtaking on the E11 doesn't need a downshift and a run-up first. Rear drive plus 300 hp means the back end will move if you're careless with the throttle in the wet or over a painted road line, so give the first few kilometres a bit more respect than you would in a front-wheel-drive sedan.

The back seat is the real reason to book this over a similarly priced German sedan. At 5.1 metres long with a 3,058 mm wheelbase, the Charger has genuinely long rear legroom, and two adults sit with their knees clear of the front seatbacks instead of folded in the way they would be in a compact executive car. Three across works for a short airport run and gets tighter over a full day.
The boot holds 455 litres, enough for two large cases and a couple of soft bags, so a family of four landing at DXB with a week of luggage can manage the pickup in one trip. What the Charger doesn't do is shrink itself for tight spaces. At 1,905 mm wide, it's a big car, and a cramped Marina multi-storey or a bay built for a hatchback will make you work for the room. Ground clearance sits at 132 mm, enough for standard speed bumps at a normal pace, but take steep mall ramps at an angle rather than straight on, the same caution you'd give any low sedan.
Fuel economy runs at about 10.7 L/100km combined, thirstier than the compact sedans in the fleet, which is the honest cost of a 5.1-metre car with a V6 up front. The 70-litre tank still gets you close to 650 km on a full fill, so a week of mostly city driving means two or three stops rather than one every couple of days. The mileage allowance is 250 km a day, with AED 0.5 for every extra kilometre, and a highway day trip or two will chip into that faster than city errands alone. You need to be at least 25 to take the keys, a higher bar than the economy hatchbacks in the fleet, and worth checking before you book if you're travelling with a younger driver in the group.
The cabin cools the way you'd expect from a car this size. It takes a little longer than a hatchback to pull down after sitting in the sun, because there's more air inside to chill, but the front vents are strong once the compressor catches up, and rear passengers get their own vents too, which matters with all five seats full on a 45-degree afternoon. Park in shade where you find it and give the AC a minute before you climb back in expecting cold air on the move. Salik tolls and any RTA fines land on the renter, every seat needs a belt, and a child seat is required for anyone under four.
Rent the Charger 2022 if you want a car that feels genuinely different from the rest of the fleet: rear-wheel drive, a V6 with some voice to it, and a back seat that actually works for four adults rather than two. It suits a family or a group of friends who want real presence for a week without stepping up to a V8 rental budget.
Look elsewhere if tight parking is your daily reality. A compact sedan or crossover saves you the width and the ramp anxiety. Look elsewhere too if you came here chasing HEMI noise, because the V6 is quick but composed rather than dramatic, and if fuel cost matters more than presence, one of the four-cylinder sedans in the fleet will cost noticeably less to keep fed over a week. For the renter who wants to arrive somewhere looking like they mean it, the Charger is one of the more distinctive weeks you can book in this fleet.
