Dodge Charger 2021 - start from 348 AED / day

Most full-size American sedans you can rent in Dubai send their power to the back wheels, which is great until you want planted, drama-free traction. This Dodge Charger 2021 is the all-wheel-drive version, and that's the reason to pick it: a 305 hp V6 muscle sedan that puts its power down cleanly and feels stable when you lean on it. We deliver it across Dubai within one to two hours. The argument here is simple. If you want the Charger's presence and pace but you'd rather have surefooted grip than tail-happy theatre, the AWD car is the one to book, and this page is about who that suits.

Why the all-wheel drive matters here

The Charger's reputation is built on rear-drive muscle, and that's fun until you ask for full throttle out of a wet roundabout or off a dusty slip road, where a rear-drive car can step out before it hooks up. The AWD version spreads the 305 hp across all four wheels, so it launches cleanly and stays composed when you accelerate hard out of a corner or onto a fast carriageway. On Sheikh Zayed Road that means confident, unflustered overtakes. After a rare downpour, when Dubai's roads turn slick and oily, it's the kind of car that keeps doing what you asked rather than scrabbling for grip.

It still feels like a Charger. The V6 has a deep note, the body is long and imposing, and 0 to 100 km/h takes around 7.5 seconds, brisk enough to make merging and overtaking effortless. You just get that performance with a wider safety margin than the rear-drive car gives you.

Space, comfort and the highway

This is a big sedan, and the space pays off on longer drives. Five adults fit properly, with real shoulder room in the back rather than the token bench you get in smaller cars. The boot is large at around 16.5 cubic feet, easily a family's worth of luggage or several full suitcases for an airport run, so a DXB or DWC pickup with a loaded car is no stretch.

On the open road the long wheelbase gives it a settled, planted cruise. It eats motorway miles quietly and feels stable at speed, which makes it a genuinely comfortable car for the highway driving Dubai throws up between the city, the airports and the emirates. This is where a car this size earns its keep.

Keeping cool in the heat

A cabin this size takes a moment to cool after baking in a summer car park, but the Charger has the system for it. Dual-zone climate control and strong vents pull the temperature down steadily, and front passengers feel the benefit quickly. Because the cabin is large, give it a few minutes with the fan up and the windows cracked for the first half-minute to flush the trapped heat, and the whole car, front and back, is comfortable for the drive. For five people on a summer airport run, a big sedan that cools properly beats a small car that struggles.

Parking and placing a big car

There's no pretending this is a city runabout. The Charger is a long, wide sedan, so tight multi-storey bays and the steep ramps under Marina towers ask for care, and you'll use the parking sensors and camera on the smaller spots. Out on wider roads and in open car parks it's easy, and the AWD traction makes pulling out of awkward angles and inclines feel secure. If your week is mostly highway and open parking it's a non-issue. If it's all narrow downtown bays, a smaller car is less effort.

Fuel and the costs that fall to you

A 305 hp V6 this size isn't built for frugality. Expect real-world consumption in the low-to-mid teens of litres per 100 km in mixed driving, more in heavy city crawl, and the AWD system adds a little over the rear-drive car. The upside is the large fuel tank, which means decent range between fills and an easy run between the emirates without hunting for a station. Fuel in Dubai is cheap, so even at this size a week of driving stays affordable.

As the renter you pay Salik tolls at the gantries and any RTA fines on the car during your rental, and with a sedan this quick it's worth keeping a deliberate eye on the limits. Seat belts are mandatory in all five seats, and children under four need a child seat, which we can add on request.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the AWD Charger 2021 if you want a fast, imposing sedan with real space and the security of all-wheel-drive traction, and your week leans on highway driving, airport runs and carrying four or five people in comfort. The grip is the point: you get the muscle-sedan experience without the rear-drive car's habit of stepping out when you push.

Look elsewhere if your week is mostly tight city parking, or if low fuel cost is your priority. For those, a compact crossover or a smaller sedan makes more sense. But if you want presence, pace and confident grip in one car, this is the Charger to take.
