Both send power to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic, so this is not a sedan you can treat like a front-wheel-drive car on a wet roundabout or a freshly painted lane line. Respect the throttle for the first day, especially in the V8.

On Sheikh Zayed Road the 300C is in its element. The wheelbase runs past three metres, the car rides softly, and cruising at 120 sits it flat and quiet in a way smaller sedans do not manage. Look elsewhere if tight parking is your daily reality. A car over five metres long asks more of you in a cramped Marina garage than a compact or mid-size sedan does. Skip it too if you want the newest infotainment or the badge cachet of a German or Japanese rival, because this generation is older under the skin even in its final model year.
