Rent BMW 760 2024 in Dubai

The BMW 760 2024 is the V8 at the top of our 7 Series range in Dubai, the xDrive flagship sitting above both six-cylinder cars we run, and it makes that clear with a 4.2-second run to 100 km/h that the 735i simply cannot match. We get it to your door in white, usually within one to two hours of booking, on the same rear-seat-focused body as its siblings. The difference is under the bonnet and at the wheels: more power, more torque, and all-wheel drive as standard rather than an option elsewhere in the range. The real question this page settles is whether that extra pace and grip earns its place over the cheaper six-cylinder cars, or whether you would barely use it.

The engine, and how it drives

Under the long bonnet sits a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with a 48V mild-hybrid assist, BMW's S68 unit, producing 536 hp and 750 Nm through an eight-speed automatic. Every wheel gets power through xDrive, BMW's all-wheel-drive system, which the 735i and 740i don't have. That combination is why the 760 hits 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds against the 735i's 6.7 and the 740i's 5.3, a genuinely different level of urgency rather than an incremental step up.

On the road that shows up as confidence rather than drama. An overtake on Sheikh Zayed Road happens the instant you ask for it, no kickdown, no waiting for the turbos to catch up. The all-wheel drive puts that power down cleanly off a roundabout or a wet ramp during one of Dubai's rare downpours, where the rear-drive sixes need a more careful right foot. The car is noticeably heavier than its siblings, up around 2,300 kg against roughly 2,100 for the 735i, and you can feel that mass at low speed. Once moving, the extra weight settles the ride rather than working against it.

Boot, back seat and the daily use

The body, wheelbase and interior are the same G70 platform as the 735i and 740i, so the rear seat comfort that makes this range worth renting for airport runs and client pickups carries over unchanged. Two adults get a genuinely long rear compartment to stretch out in, and the options list includes the same rear climate controls, cooled seats and, where fitted, the drop-down theatre screen the range is known for. If rear-seat space was the reason you were looking at a 7 Series, the 760 doesn't improve on it. It's identical.

The boot tells the same honest story as the rest of the family: 540 litres, flat and deep, good for two large cases and a soft bag, not built for folding seats or a family's worth of holiday luggage. Choosing the 760 over a 735i or 740i isn't a boot decision or a back-seat decision. It's entirely about whether you, or your driver, want the quickest and most planted car in the range.

Running cost, heat and the cabin

A V8 this size is thirstier than the sixes in the range, and it's worth budgeting for that honestly. BMW rates the 760 at 11.2 L/100km combined against roughly 7 to 8 L/100km for the 735i and 740i, and with the same 74-litre tank, real-world city range in Dubai traffic with the air conditioning working hard lands somewhere around 450 to 550 km rather than the theoretical 660. If you're driving yourself daily rather than mostly sitting in the back, that fuel bill adds up over a week faster than on either six-cylinder car.

The cabin cools the way you would expect from a car this size and this well equipped. It takes a minute longer to pull a cabin down from a 45-degree car park than a small hatchback needs, but the front seats are cooled and the rear passengers get their own vents and controls, so nobody is waiting on the driver to sort the temperature out. Salik tolls on your route and any RTA fines during the rental are yours to settle, the same as on every car we hand over. At 5.39 metres long, this isn't a car for a rushed multi-storey car park. Take the ramps slowly and let the cameras do the close work, and it clears speed bumps and mall ramps without trouble.

Who should rent it, and who should look elsewhere

Rent the 760 if you're the one driving and you want the quickest, most secure car in our 7 Series range. The acceleration is real, the all-wheel drive gives you grip the sixes can't offer, and the badge at the top of the range means something on a business trip where you want to arrive having driven, not just been driven. As a flagship V8 luxury sedan, expect a refundable deposit rather than a no-deposit rental, a 250 km daily allowance with AED 0.5 for each kilometre over that, and you'll need to be at least 25 to collect the keys.

Look at the 735i instead if the back seat is genuinely the point and the extra power isn't something you'll use. The rear compartment, the boot and the doors you climb through are identical, so you'll pay less to sit in exactly the same space. If it's a fully chauffeured, silent week you're after, the electric i7 in the same body answers that better than any petrol car here. And if your trip means seven seats or a family's luggage for a week, no sedan in this range, however quick, solves that. The 760 is at its best carrying up to four people fast and planted, not hauling cases.
