Book a BMW 735 2024 rental in Dubai and the one call to get right is whether you actually want to be the one driving. This is the entry point to the current 7 Series, the big rear-wheel-drive limousine BMW builds to compete with an S-Class, and most people who rent it spend the good part of the journey in the back. If your week is about arriving quietly and working from the back seat, either does the job. If you genuinely want to enjoy the wheel, the BMW edges it. Worth knowing before you commit: this is the six, not a V8 or the electric i7, so it moves with quiet authority rather than shove. For Dubai that is the sensible engine, and 286 hp is plenty to keep an S-Class honest on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The back seat is the point

The G70 rides on a 3,215 mm wheelbase, and almost all of that length goes into the rear compartment. This is where the money sits. Two adults stretch out fully on a DXB or DWC airport run, the reclining backrests and the near-silent cabin turn a stuck-in-traffic hour into something you don't mind, and there's a real sense of occasion to being back there. If you're renting this to move a client, a parent or yourself in comfort, the rear seat is the whole argument for the car.

The cabin tech backs it up. A curved dashboard display runs the driving side, and the standout is the optional rear theatre screen that drops from the roof for back-seat passengers, with the doors and climate controlled from touch panels in the armrests. It is a lot of screen for one car. The front seats are cooled, which matters here more than any feature list suggests.

The boot is the honest caveat. At 540 litres it's a normal large-sedan space, flat and deep, so two big hard cases and a couple of soft bags load in without drama. It is not an SUV, though. Four adults each with a full airport case and cabin bag will fill it, and there's no folding third space to fall back on. For most executive trips the boot is fine. For a full family holiday with a week of luggage, size sideways to an SUV.

How it drives, and the heat

For a car that weighs over two tonnes, the 735i is deceptively quick. It reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, but the point isn't the number. The inline-six pulls smoothly from low revs, so an overtake on the E11 happens in one clean move without the car ever feeling busy. Rear-wheel drive is all this sedan needs on Dubai's dry roads, and the ride settles into a hush at a 120 km/h cruise that few cars match.

The heat is the daily reality every renter thinks about. A cabin this size takes a moment longer to cool from a 48-degree July car park than a small hatch would, but the climate system is strong and the rear passengers get their own vents and controls, so the back seat gets cold air on its own terms rather than waiting on the front. Cooled front seats take the edge off the first few minutes after you climb back in.

Size is the other thing to plan around. At nearly 5.4 metres long, tight multi-storey bays and Marina tower ramps ask for patience, though the cameras and parking sensors do most of the work and the low body clears speed bumps and mall ramps without scraping. Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Look elsewhere in two cases. If you want the silent, chauffeur-grade experience with no engine at all, the electric i7 is the same car with a different heart. And if your week is really about seven seats or a mountain of luggage, a large SUV serves you better than any sedan.
