A white BMW 520 2024 is the one paint call on this shortlist that actually works in your favor come July. This is the G60-generation 5 Series, BMW's current mid-size executive sedan, and white sheds more of the sun's first hit off the roof and doors than the black or grey most rental fleets stock, so the cabin you climb back into after a few hours in an open car park starts from a slightly better place. We deliver it to your hotel, office or apartment door within one to two hours of booking. The bigger surprise is the age gate: most premium sedans in this class ask for 25, and this one only asks that you be 21.
Open the bonnet and you'll find a 2.0-litre turbocharged four, not a six, paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system that fills in the low-end torque while the turbo catches up. Combined output is 208 hp and 330 Nm, sent through an eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and 100 km/h arrives in about 7.5 seconds. That's not a fast car by BMW's own numbers, and it isn't built to be one. What it does well is disguise effort. Pulling away from a light on Al Wasl Road feels immediate rather than laggy, merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road takes one confident push, and rear-wheel drive keeps the chassis settled through the long sweepers near Downtown rather than pushing wide. At a steady 120 km/h the cabin quiets down enough that a 45-minute commute stops feeling like one. Try to overtake a slow truck above 120 with four people aboard and you'll need to plan the move rather than snap it off, so if outright pace is what you're after, this isn't the trim that delivers it. For the daily grind of meetings and airport runs, the calm is the point.
The G60 body rides on a 2,995 mm wheelbase, longer than the generation it replaced, and the extra length shows up as real knee room in the back rather than a token gesture. Two adults up front and two behind, each with a laptop bag, is a comfortable brief for the week. A fifth passenger across the middle works for a short DXB transfer, not for a daily commute squeezed between two others. The 520-litre boot takes two large hard cases and a carry-on with room to spare, which covers a standard business trip without any packing gymnastics. It won't take a family's full holiday load of four suitcases and a stroller, and there's no honest way to dress that up. If that's your trip, a mid-size SUV will serve you better than any sedan wearing this badge.

BMW quotes a combined 5.8 to 6.4 L/100km, and Dubai traffic with the AC working through a summer afternoon usually pushes that closer to 8 L/100km in practice. Even at that higher number, the 60-litre tank clears 700 km before you need a station, so a normal week of city and highway driving means one fill-up, maybe two. The daily allowance here is 250 km, and for a business trip built around hotel-to-office runs and the odd airport transfer, that's more than most renters will touch, with extra kilometres billed at AED 0.5 each if you do. On the heat itself, the white paint isn't a gimmick: a lighter body absorbs less solar load than a dark one, so the interior you step into after it's sat outside won't have baked quite as hard, even though the dual-zone climate and rear vents still need a minute or two of real work before the back seat feels normal. Salik tolls and any RTA fines picked up during the rental are billed to you, standard for any car here, and seat belts are required in every seat with a child seat mandatory for anyone under four. At just over five metres long, the 520 wants a proper bay rather than a tight compact spot, and a low sedan body means multi-storey ramps and speed bumps are best taken slowly rather than assumed clear.
Rent the 520 if you're in Dubai to work, want to drive yourself instead of being driven, and would rather have a calm, quiet cruiser than outright speed. It looks right outside a client meeting, it's genuinely relaxed on the highway, and two people travelling with carry-on bags and laptop cases will find the week easy in it. Look elsewhere if the back seat is really what you're paying for: the 735i is built around rear-seat space in a way this car isn't. And if your trip means four adults with full luggage, an SUV will carry the load better than any sedan in this class. As a premium BMW, expect a refundable deposit rather than a no-deposit rental, so budget for that alongside the daily rate. The allowance is 250 km a day, extra kilometres cost AED 0.5 each, and the minimum age to take the keys is 21, lower than most cars at this level.
