Long highway days are where the Audi A6 2021 earns its keep, and we hand one over to your door in Dubai within 1 to 2 hours so you can point it at Sheikh Zayed Road and go. This is the executive sedan you book when the week is built around airport runs, Abu Dhabi meetings, and motorway miles that need to feel like nothing. If your driving is short city hops, you're paying for refinement you won't use. But if you cover real distance and want to arrive unfrazzled after a 90-minute cruise, the A6 is the right tool, and the rest of this page is about whether it fits the way you actually drive.
The page lists a 2.0-litre turbo four making 245 hp, front-wheel drive, with an automatic gearbox and a 6.8-second run to 100 km/h. Those numbers tell you most of what you need. This isn't a slow car, and on an open E11 stretch it pulls cleanly from 100 to overtaking speed without drama or downshift hunting. The automatic is smooth at a cruise, which is the point of a sedan like this.
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Class | Business sedan, 5 seats |
| Engine | 2.0-litre turbo petrol |
| Power | 245 hp |
| Transmission | Automatic |
| Drivetrain | Front-wheel drive |
| 0 to 100 km/h | 6.8 seconds |
| Top speed | 250 km/h |
| Fuel tank | About 73 litres |
| Combined economy | Around 7.0 L/100km (WLTP) |
| Boot | 530 litres |
| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4939 x 1886 x 1457 mm |
| Colour | White |
This is the section that decides it. At a steady 120 on Sheikh Zayed Road the cabin stays quiet, the ride settles, and wind and road noise are kept far enough back that a phone call over the speakers actually works. The A6 holds its line in crosswinds and doesn't fidget at speed, so a run out to Abu Dhabi feels shorter than the clock says.
Front-wheel drive matters less than you'd think for this use. You give up the planted feel of quattro in fast corners, but on flat, straight Emirates motorways the difference rarely shows. Where you notice it is hard acceleration on a damp morning, which Dubai gives you maybe twice a year. For nearly all the miles you'll do, the FWD A6 cruises exactly as well as you want it to.
The 530-litre boot is the number that settles the airport question. Two large hard cases plus a cabin bag go in flat with room to spare, and the wide opening means you're not wrestling luggage at the kerb. For a couple arriving at DXB with a week's worth of cases, or a small family doing a DWC pickup, the load space is genuinely generous for the class. Drop the rear seats and longer items go in too.
The flip side of a 4.9-metre executive sedan is parking. Multi-storey bays in older Marina and Downtown towers are tight for a car this long, and you'll use the camera and sensors on the tighter ramps. It's not difficult, just deliberate. Mall parking and hotel valet are no trouble at all.
A car parked in a Dubai summer afternoon climbs past 60 inside, and the honest question is how fast it recovers. The A6's climate system pulls a baked cabin down to comfortable within a few minutes of moving, faster than most economy cars because there's more cooling capacity behind the dash. Rear passengers get their own vents, which is the detail that makes the back seat usable on a July airport run rather than a sweatbox for the first ten minutes.
With roughly a 73-litre tank, you're not at the pump often. Audi quotes around 7.0 L/100km combined, but real Dubai driving with the AC fighting the heat and some highway pace sits closer to 9 to 10. Even so, a full tank covers a heavy week of airport runs and meetings, and on a long Abu Dhabi day you'll likely do the whole trip on one fill. Premium petrol is cheap here by global standards, so the running cost is reasonable for a car this size.
Two practical notes. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental pass to you, and on a route like Sheikh Zayed Road you'll cross several gates, so factor that in. Seat belts are mandatory front and rear, and the A6 has full belts and anchor points if you're bringing children. The 250 km includes per day is plenty for city use, with extra kilometres charged at 1 AED, which only bites if you're planning serious back-to-back intercity distance.
Rent the A6 2021 if your week is built around the motorway: airport transfers, intercity meetings, and long cruises where comfort and quiet matter more than nipping through traffic. It rewards distance and arrives feeling expensive in a way that suits a business trip. We bring it to your hotel or office, and renting from 18 is open here where much of the market holds out for 21.
Skip it if your driving is mostly short city errands and tight old-tower parking. You'd be paying for highway refinement you won't tap, and a smaller sedan parks easier. And if you need to seat a third row or carry a sixth person, this is a five-seat sedan, so size up to an SUV. For the long-distance executive job, though, the A6 is exactly the car for it.
