It slots into the building bays, sips fuel on the daily run to Mall of the Emirates or Motor City, and costs less to insure. If you have family arriving with luggage, or you plan weekend runs toward Al Qudra and the desert tracks, an SUV earns its keep with the ground clearance and boot space. We would skip anything oversized for the school-and-supermarket routine here. It just makes the multi-storey turns tighter for no real gain.

Where the car waits in Dubai Sports City

Dubai Sports City now has RTA paid street parking under zone code S, charged daytime Monday to Saturday and free on Sundays and public holidays. If you have your own bay you can ignore the meters. If you rely on roadside spots near the smaller blocks, budget for the tariff or pull into a building bay. Salik is auto-charged as you pass a gate, and we pass it on to you at the exact amount, never marked up.
