Linked gates within an hour count as a single charge, so a quick out-and-back doesn't always double the cost. A daily commuter to the Marina should simply budget two crossings most days. Someone staying near BurJuman for a week may pay almost nothing.

Drive times help you pick. DXB Terminals 1 and 3 are roughly 15 minutes east. Downtown and the Burj Khalifa area sit about 10 to 15 minutes up Sheikh Zayed Road, and Dubai Marina runs closer to 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic.

This is the part Karama renters underrate. The older blocks here run on paid street parking, and the main streets around the ADCB metro and City Mart fill up fast through the day and into the evening. Finding a kerb space near your building at 8pm is not a given.
